Now the chances of replacing them will be zero over here. Can't see how you can really. Looking at them I wondered of they would turn round. Nothing to lose, so a pair of pliars, (English spelling), were brought into play. Luck was with me and they did turn 180 degrees. Head light secured once more. I'm putting pliars in my little book next to plough! 1

peter lena 8,576 #19485 Posted July 8, 2023 @mower that bare frame , is practicly asking for a steel tube fuel line , inside of frame angle , run it the length , extend 6" vinyl cap off . as you build up it would be easy to add clear vinyl fuel line / filters , virtually eliminating fuel line break down debris . just an idea, pete 1
8ntruck 6,973 #19486 Posted July 8, 2023 (edited) My Triumph Spitfire taught me English. You put the hood up when you wanted to stay dry in the rain. You opened the bonnet when you needed to work on the SU carburettor. The spare tyre was stored in the boot. It kept wanting me to use something called spanners on it. I made do with wrenches for those jobs. Sometimes we had quite heated discussions on that subject. Edited July 8, 2023 by 8ntruck 2

I was informed torches were lights, and gas was a torch. Learned a few new swear words too. 🙂
D_Mac 8,593 #19488 Posted July 8, 2023 (edited) Put the deck on the Free10-8 for the first time. Fired it up and engaged the blades and it is whisper quite. I was also able to squeeze it into the garage with the other 3 Horses even with the deck on. I couldn't be happier. cafoose 3,354 #19490 Posted July 8, 2023 The @Ed Kennell 953 from the Big Show shut off last week and didn't start. I have it in the neighbor's barn and didn't have tools with me to check it out at the time. The clamp screw on the coil is completely unscrewed and the coil slid down. Looks like the wire was too short with the coil all the way down. I found this: 6 1

ML3 1,172 #19493 Posted July 9, 2023 Took RJ apart. Initially wasn't going to paint it but it wasn't a correct color & had a few spots where paint was coming off. Got some parts painted w/1coat. Do another coat tomorrow. Plenty little things to fix. Whoever did refurbishment before didn't use cotter pins- used bent up nails??? Most the bolts are all mismatched so I wanna correct that. Simple little details need taken care of. Wheels & seat are painted white they need refinishing. Think I wanna go with the almond or antique white?? 9

Andy N. 2,118 #19498 Posted July 11, 2023 My older sister and family came to visit this weekend. They live in rural IN and tractors and other power equipment aren't new to them at all, but my BIL comes from a green family so riding Uncle Andy's red tractors was a new experience. Plus the 520-H was my dad's before he passed so they really wanted to drive Grandpa's tractor. Nephews are 10 & 17. I had to short the seat switch in order for the 10 year old to be able to reach the clutch while mowing and not have the tractor shut off on him. They also love trains so we went to the Illinois Railway Museum and I took them to my work to show them one of the planes that I maintain. So it was a planes, trains, and tractors weekdend.
