Rainy day so rearranging the shed. I have like 7 or 8 (or more :wacko:) mule-drives and two 42” RD’s,  three 36” RD’s and either two or three 42” SD’s. Decks are either on a tractor or stacked in the shed, mule-drives are either on a tractor or stored on a shelf in the shed.
 Does anyone else do this? Label em with a sharpie ? IMG_8852.jpeg

@Sparky  did you RE GREASE that bearing ?  the angular loading / heat stress is what makes those bearings whyine , since using lucas HD  green chassis grease , I  have no bearing noise any where on or in my decks . imagine levering in a pto lever , and every bearing is quiet , every lubricated spot has been detailed in , pto lever itself , sloppy fit , trunion removal , heim joint replacement . muel drive bearings , spindles . pete

I don't think the mules care what deck they go to unless it's a 60 incher!

It’s hard to install the pretty ones when I have this motley crew of assorted deck wheels patiently waiting to get put into action! :lol:

Wow - call me dense, but I never realized or saw any reference to the fact that mules were different depending on the deck. Do they have different pulley angles, span of tightening adjustment, etc.? I've been swapping decks around without thinking about it, if they do. I have 3 different 48" SD decks, but had a 42" till I sold it, and another 42 that needs some repairs. If the mules are different, I guess I should pay more attention to making sure I keep the right ones with the right decks. :eusa-think:

The belt lengths are different. The actual mule drives are the same except for 60" decks

Wheel-N-It

So like Sparky, this weekend I've gone through and inventoried and organized and packed away Wheel Horse parts (in one building :wacko:) because its July and hotter than Hades in North Carolina and I'm OCD, and all that put together made good sense for me to do this. The three black boxes all contain Wheel Horse parts.  I am happy to say I have a much fresher idea of what I have and where its at. I had no idea I had so many Wheel Horse belts. The mower decks and my motley Crew of wheels and tires are in another building. Here goes;
