Pullstart 62,867 #14576 Posted February 11, 2022 Finally got to play with my Snowmotractor last night. There’s some work to do, but it moves and the first test run was a success! 7

Congrats on completing your build. It’s very cool. 2 2

Sparky-(Admin) 21,317 #14582 Posted February 12, 2022 Finally got both hubs pulled back out to where they should be on my 867. She’s a “wide ride” now 9 7
Lee1977 6,659 #14583 Posted February 12, 2022 (edited) Here is what I did to the hubs on my 312. We rekeyed the hubs to the other set screw hole as the original had gotten larger on each side of the key. Then we rekeyed the axles to a full length square key way To finish it off I added split collars to the inside of the hubs and tighten them down tight. Oldskool 6,644 #14584 Posted February 12, 2022 Well we had a good warm day so took Hiram out for a spin. Using the split brakes and chains a bit to rough up our skating rink of a driveway. 5
Horse Newbie 7,069 #14585 Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) I replaced the bulb in my tachometer on the 1994 520H, and also did the LED headlights upgrade. kpinnc 12,028 #14587 Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) I fixed my Bronco's throttle cable. I've changed it several times, but they eventually break loose and get stuck in the lock position. Horror Fright carries a couple different roll pin assortments. Both have 1/16th pins. So I cross drilled the knob though the shaft, and stuck a pin in it. Used small channel locks to press it in. Time will tell, but so far it's great! Edited February 13, 2022 by kpinnc 5

Looks good you have it fixed unless the plastic nob breaks. I use the choke nob off my Vanguard on my 312. The finish on mine isn't hold up too well might need to paint it.

Ifixoldjunk 778 #14590 Posted February 13, 2022 I had to unwillingly beat the snot out of the poor 310 today. Got hit with a surprise 4 inches of snow overnight that landed right on top of my muddy gravel driveway. Last week was a heat wave and the ground didn’t have a chance to solidify. Sucked up more mud and gravel than I wanted too. 3
Lane Ranger 10,968 #14591 Posted February 13, 2022 Had to change plug and boost battery to start the B-80 in 15 degrees! It was 12 most of the night and my garage is not heated. Trailer was frozen! Rammed it loose! Then couldn’t move on front hitch so put on rear and was able to move. Cold! All of this to get ready to head south to Florida Flywheelers next week.
Ifixoldjunk 778 #14592 Posted February 13, 2022 @Pullstart holy smokes that looks good. Now you’ve got me eyeing up my poor firewood hauler bolens. Help it navigate the snow better.😅 4
pfrederi 17,739 #14593 Posted February 13, 2022 Plow time you will still turn up rocks but they will be in neat lines at eh edge of the driveway
Pullstart 62,867 #14594 Posted February 13, 2022 @Ifixoldjunk if you toss too many rocks, I’ve seen people use a shop vac in their yard come spring time to get them outta the grass

I also found when the snow starts to melt, I plow the snow edges back on the road and as the snow melts, the gravel is deposited where it belongs with very little raking.
kpinnc 12,028 #14596 Posted February 14, 2022 Had to swap a wheel bearing tonight. Had these lying around. Probably overkill for these little tractors, but outta last a while... Direct axle contact, but over an inch wide. We'll see how they do. 7

Dstegjas 29 #14598 Posted February 17, 2022 Nothing big, just put a pair of new front tires on my 310-8. It still had the original tires on it. I can’t complain after getting 34 years out the them. Jim 11

Renrag 69 #14600 Posted February 17, 2022 Well poop changing engine on my B115 the clutch housing got stuck to where I had to beat it off, well it came off, but not unscathed. The part of it where the belt rides half the lip broke off the cast, so idk if it's still usable or not. The drive belt fits really tight, but it's the rubbing and wear it'll cause drive belt is my worry. Anyone that would have a spare clutch housing for my little horsey I would be interested.
