Odd as it sounds I'd be into that.

All our seats are flat on the fender with no springs.

I did that in order to drive the tractor around the house to put in the garage. It actually wasn't that bad of a drvie.

We keep ours without any suspension because the rough forest surface tosses a driver around quite a bit.

Even at very slow speeds the seat can tilt to one side if it has springs which can make things interesting.

No springs, reduced tilt and tossing.

Not done but guess I need to get on it.  Think I need a new belt??.  One thing I do not like about the cyclovac  (currently hooked up to this tractor) is the extreme noise.  i have to wear ear muffs and I can't hear things happening with the WH like a belt in this bad shape.

Um, yeah, I think that belt might be EOL!

I wish I'd had guidance on this 50 years ago, but for the last 15 or so I use ear protection at all times when running equipment except for an occasional "lift one cover" to listen for odd noises. My Dad, after decades spent as an engineer on factory floors, ended up hardly able to hear anything by his 70's. Pick your preference.

Ill second that for the most part.

We run quiet mufflers so I don't use ear protection while just driving the tractors but I do for many other machines or tools.

I love BOOM TUBES....but at 62 years of age....I try to keep one of my senses intact

If its too loud....you are too old...Thats what I was told......   Big pipes, open headers  Worked at 20, and 30 and 40...but then I got smarter....then at 50 liked the boom tubes...kept my distance.....Now I use Thumpers because im old...

You've been given bad advice. If it's too loud, you are steadily grinding away at your hearing so that when you GET old, you'll not hear the tractor but nor will you make out what your grandchildren are saying to you.

50 years in the back of a bowling center. Several $$$$$$$$$ in hearing aids, and I can hear everything I want to, and some things I don't.

If you can do it in a week, I for one will be impressed! :P

I'm joking of course- I know what you meant.

I am sorry @ebinmaine, got distracted on my side project (compressor). Which the compressor didn't like haha

Always wanted these nice looking hitches our vendors sell. But figured shipping to Europe would be more  then what they ask for their :wh: receiverhitches.

So I made one today with steel I had laying around. more then strong enough for what I needed.

The 4 bolts needed, costed me 5$ just the bolt, no nuts or washers. they claim inflation here is "only" 2,6%. But sure feels a lot higher.

The hitch still will have to be finalized and painted.
