Seems like I was just cleaning maple seeds out of the gutters this spring and I'm already seeing leaves starting to drop and corn turning yellow. This year sure was different...... for sure! Going to try to get this thing fired up at some point and see if it works. Tucked into a shed for a long time so probably not... No worries. Trailer will be good for firewood or something anyways. So to pull it down to the back of the house we used my honey's 657. I still need to get the idler pulley setup on the footrest rod and sickle frame plate but so far so good. It took about three hours to set this up. So I blasted them down and painted them antique white and hand painted the emblems in the center. I like given each of my tractors something a little extra and I think the hubcaps do it for this one. Any chance this was a dealer thing in the day or just coincidence?? It's actually not a bad idea..... much easier to get at. I've wondered that same thing. My honey and I are in the habit of turning off the gas on all of our small engine machines whenever possible and this definitely does make it a lot easier. If one doesn't have to stay original which I am in the habit to do one can just add one of these in a convenient spot..Say just ahead of the fuel filter for easy changes. I couldn't figure out where all my fuel was going since I was shutting it off because I wouldn't see the tractor again for a couple weeks. The air filters and air cleaner cover showed up so I put those on too. So much fun just zipping around in 3rd gear. I'll run it a few more times before I pull the carb to rebuild it.
