One of my very interesting electrical bird's nests was in a tractor where the PO had replaced the five prong blade type switch with a four prong post type automotive switch and I don't think they ever had it running after that . Between the switch and the terminals they spent well over twice what they would have for the new correct switch.... Keep us posted on your repairs. Thanks, Eric. New correct switches are not that difficult. at least there is the remnants of the harness plug remaining on the tractor side. I have to trace down the charging circuit wire, but with my new double digit tractor status, there are plenty of references that have factory wiring, and i also have a decent understanding of what needs to be there. And of course all the advice of you all.

ohiofarmer 3,276 #7608 Posted November 13, 2020 Well, guys, I did finally find the ID plate for the sweet sixteen. they painted it heavily, so I used some 1200 grit and water to reveal the numbers. 16K802 17383 6108 Some other things I did was to clear out the garage so I could get the trucks serviced--5 wheel horses in there are too many. Of course the wood shop has to be re-arranged as well to hold three more. The lift table will lift up to 42" off the floor, so they roll right in to the shop. The last pic is taken from the lift table with the c-160 ready to roll to the lift. For now, I have the heavy connectors from the battery and the starter /solenoid lugs all cleaned up. i took some old copper pennies and turned them into washers to make better connection to the lugs. I found out that the solenoid does not work. it clicks, however, so I will try drilling a tiny hole in the cap and putting penetrating oil in there. That has worked before, and i figure the OEM is still better than anything new from china. While everything is pretty much down, I removed the voltage regulator to clean the connections and try to figure out why the electrons are not moving through the switch wiring correctly. one of the wires is just a stub coming out of the rear of the switch, so I need a diagram for that five wire plug/switch with only four wires left. I might just have to do a hasty wire engine tester to hear this tractor run 2

Jhook 849 #7611 Posted November 14, 2020 (edited) Ok guys heres the pics. Any info on the tractor itself would be great. Looks like engine has been swapped. It runs(bad due to stuck float) and drives amd bucket works great. I paid 1,000 dollars for it as you see it. Im excited what do you guys think? Also anyone know what the loader is? Kwik way maybe EDIT: I think it says johnson on the blue sticker Edited November 14, 2020 by Jhook

Tractorhead 9,064 #7613 Posted November 14, 2020 Even you must exchange few parts ( Seals) on hydraulics, it seems definitely worth the Price. Hydraulic support is a big help on working on heavier things

The subframe on yours may not be correct, if should span from the front of the frame back to the rear axle. If the loader is just attached to one point near the center of the frame it could twist the whole frame. 5

Im going to add a full length 3/16 inch subframe that bolts underneath the rear end. This tractor will be permanent loader machine 2
Pullstart 62,896 #7616 Posted November 14, 2020 @Jhook as in you drive wrecker? Well that’s convenient for wrangling! Nice score! It looks like everything is wet. Hopefully it’s just rain and not everything leaking?

squonk 41,120 #7621 Posted November 14, 2020 Last leaf mulching job and time to take the recycler deck off. Crap sure gets behind the insert but the deck itself stays pretty pristine. Didn't scrape a thing. Then it's time to put the blower and loaded ag's on. 1
peter lena 8,629 #7622 Posted November 14, 2020 squonk , deck looks clean , that leaf mulching helped that , good opportunity to aerosol penetrating oil it down over winter , soak into the metal and kill of the grunge , leave it upside down , to trap and hold it there . over winter ,the black surface look will be enhanced , all my decks are oil stained black , and zero rust , pete
