OH forgot, topped of all of the fuel tanks in the stable.....and had someone stop by to ask me what that noise was.................

ohiofarmer 3,276 #6646 Posted September 19, 2020 Did a dry clean on this one today with just a putty knife and shop air. There was oil leakage from years of previous owners. I am guessing the lift cylinder. the transmission tunnel was a mix of Mighty Mouse, fine grass, dust turned to solids, and you name it. I lifted out what I could and used the shop air to keep things moving past the shop vac. Eventually it all came out. the mower deck looks like there is paint missing, but it is black grease that peeled off.if. I do decide to use water or chemicals to get off the rest, I think what i did today was an hour of time well spent.

Lagersolut 661 #6649 Posted September 20, 2020 Started getting the 315-8 ready for winter and just a general going over . Replaced fuel line and filter , changed oil and filter and some rust issues . I'm in the process of changing out grade 5 for stainless on all my units . Not sure if it's the quality of metal in the fasteners , my garage is damp , using it for winter duty and the snow/water or a combo of everything . The fasteners rust and it spreads to the tin . Some of these pics are the 416-8 but I like the finished product of stainless . Have a tool bag here with all my stainless itemized in bags by size . Had to order more yesterday want the Philips head 1/4" in the shift plate and dash and I ran out of washers and a few others . Including a picture of the rust I'm getting on this grade 5 stuff . Started this about a year ago the carriage bolts on the steps seemed to be the worst - now each time I have a work project on one, my stainless bag comes out . 2
