WHNJ701 4,164 #6378 Posted September 2, 2020 Teaching myself vinyl seat repair, cut a few patch panels and glued them on the inside. The small tears you can't see anymore, the big hole is what it is. I was so happy I polished my shaft! Off to the sand blaster with the whole kit & kabodle now... then prime then paint. ... damn you Dan I think I got tunnel vision! WHNJ701 4,164 #6388 Posted September 3, 2020 I added a couple more layers of black filler, I sacrificed a small piece of the vinyl underneath and pressed it in for the pattern, I think that's about as good as I can do. It's a toro walkbehind mower that I gave up on trying to repair the deck the people just never took care of it and let it sit with grass and pine needles in under the covers so I'm making a powered dump cart I was thinking it might need better traction tires in dirt unless new turf will give it enough Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Far Superior traction to the turf tires. As to how much power you would lose by increasing the size it's hard to say. As you are obviously already aware you are going to sacrifice some low-end torque in favor of getting a little more top-end speed. So torque is better then high speed anyway it will be a cool project. Stormin 9,980 #6397 Posted September 3, 2020 The C-125 has not started right since I did the rebuild. Needed plenty of winding up and juggling of controls. Ran ok when started and I've been living with it. Today I decided enough was enough and set too to get it sorted. First I checked the points. They were a little wide so I adjusted the gap. Didn't help. So removed the air filter and squirted some fuel into the carb. Open the throttle, turn the key and it fired right up. Fuel pump? OK! I'll change that. Got a spare and tested it. Length of pipe on the inlet and end in some petrol. Worked the lever as fast as I could, and a nice jet of fuel shot out. So that was fitted. Still no joy. Decided to change the reconditioned carb I'd fitted, that a friend had rebuilt. Fitted the original carb and that has done the trick. Must be something in the recon' carb not just right. I'll strip it someday and see what I can find. Maybe the float wants re-setting. Definitely not getting enough fuel through. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've been getting decent overall results by removing as much as possible from the carburetor and leaving it to sit in that drink for anything from 2 or 3 days To a week. At that point I get hold of a can of brake clean.
