Finished power bathing the 1077, dropped the hydro oil & filter for fresh, made a magnetic  drain plug for it. Pulled the tins for engine cleaning.  Thought I was having a productive afternoon till  I pulled a wheel and found this! :no:Anyone with an extra they want to part with PM me.

Out in the shed today for some “gate fabrication “ and decided I am tired of looking at this poor girl just sitting there. Removed the floor / firewall and cut the old floor frame off and got it back to just the firewall. Have a different direction I am going with the floor. Hope to resurrect this project out of neverland and get it going. Would love to bring it to the show. Awe who am I kidding? :laughing-rolling:

That is a sharp looking tractor and a cute little kid!  Do you have a thread started to document the restoration of the 653?  If not, you should start one in the restorations section of the forum—looks like you are doing a good job and passing it on to the next generation!  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I don’t have a thread started in the tractor till have to gather up the pictures and get one going it hasn’t been a year yet but getting close Labor of love. My wife may not think but I sure do lol

701 looks like its ready for the next phase, great seeing mechanical anything from the past, when failure was not an option. going to the Colchester show , zagrey farm on may 5 , always an opportunity to look at and pick up more stuff. last time, there was a very early horse there with " hit and miss power " , great ideas on that , just stopped you in your tracks.  keep the past alive, pete

Dr.Trimble, in preparation for packing that very interesting and unusual looking packaging container, if you run across any GT 14 parts Richie has not specifically inquired about or requested, I might well have interest in some items.....depending on what those specific parts might be. If you recall, I inquired not all that long ago about old style mule drive/deck drive parts, but you seemed to think you had a clearance on parts of that nature a while back. I suspect in some ways you have accumulated so much GT 14 stuff, you may not be sure of just what you have until you drag it out of boxes, secret hiding places, and the dark corners of your tractor storage facility. If you turn something up not already spoken for, please give this Hoosier Hick a shout, SVP.

Got the old Agri-Fab sweeper out and did a little clean up today after mowing yesterday. What the 314 lacks in brute power it makes up for it in its smoothness and quietness. FD1F499B-6AE1-4C51-948F-E5E272BFBDB0.jpeg.082bdc11b1ba5f2f91a96a7901d826f5.jpegF265E6A1-4ED8-498F-9A21-1E47FCF3EFF2.jpeg.4986656ff3e5313a770e936476202aa3.jpeg

Slap a set of Ag’s, rear hitch, and a Brinly 10” and you’re ready to turn some soil with that nice looking tractor!

I know, as my local circle is so fond of telling me, I need to get my mind out of the furrow!  I just can’t help it—I see a GD :wh: with a vertical stack and I think “Let’s go plowing!”

That stack is a nice addition—might have to buy a couple myself...

Sorry guys, 80 degrees in Charlotte this week.putting the electric lift in the 312-8 this week. Got to deal with the hitch pin now, but man, the lift fingers on the old manual rock shaft is up there with steering wheels and hitch pins! Had to cut that off with no room in the frame and almost broke the press at work getting the lift fingers off the yoked rock shaft for the electric lift. Pita!!!!!!!!!!

Well, sold the 414-8 today, @WVHillbilly520H, @elcamino/wheelhorse, @953 nut. It went fast. Finished up the electric lift in the 312-8 and rear lift assembly. Now on to the hitch pin for my slot hitch. Pita. No lift handle here! @richmondred01 hooked me up with that, thank you. Tires and a seat and about done.

Since we're documenting...

FINALLY, got the newly-welded 42 RD attached, blades installed and running like a champ. Petina and rust is the look. Kinda' sad under that nice shiny C-125.
