Dan.gerous 2,696 #4426 Posted April 14, 2020 I brought a new fuel line and an inline bulb to be able to prime the pump - the fuel line on the machine looks ancient and is all cracked where it joins the carburettor.
Pullstart 62,836 #4427 Posted April 14, 2020 Rylee learned the value of a breaker bar changing her tires on Filly today. We put a set of 23x8.50 BFG’s on before a hot lap in the cold. 2

We put a set of 23x8.50 BFG’s on before a hot lap in the cold. That reminds me of when my sister started driving. Dad's one rule for us was that we had to know how to change our oil, and how to put the spare on in an emergency. My sister weighs about 95 lbs soaking wet, at 16 she was about 85 lbs. She came to me one day a few weeks before her license test and said she was afraid dad wasn't going to let her take the test because she couldn't change the tire because she couldn't get the lug nuts broken loose. I went up to Sears, bought her a deep socket and the longest breaker bar they had, took it home, set it on the lug nut for her, and told her "jump on it". Lug nut came loose. 2 1 1

One time a guy I worked with couldn't get a lug on an F-150 to come loose. He tried the 1/2 inch impact, the 3/4 inch impact, the 1 inch impact, then he put all 350 lbs of himself on the end of a 3 foot Snappy breaker bar and we watched that thing flex. Eventually he just started tightening it until the stud broke off. Then there was this time: Edited April 14, 2020 by adsm08 1 1

No jack stand, but she knew to support the extension vertically while she pushed down on the end of the bar! Proud daddy moment! 1

GreenMntRanger 38 #4436 Posted April 16, 2020 Replaced both tie rods on my 414-8 with new ones from Wheelhorse Parts and More. Very impressed with both the service and the parts!

Pullstart 62,836 #4438 Posted April 17, 2020 According to my calculations and ASSumptions, 11 of our 17 will be able to make it to the show (photo shoot) today! Only 2 are questionable, 1 hasn’t run in a year (Big Junky) and 1 I‘ve never driven (Chief) that’s good news!
cafoose 3,354 #4440 Posted April 17, 2020 Mounted the front roller bracket I got from @Ed Kennell to the deck for my 417A. The PO put a caster on it I cut the old bracket flush with the deck and drilled through the deck and bolted it on 1 2

Ed Kennell 38,141 #4443 Posted April 18, 2020 Chuck, I thought you might switch all your deck parts to that good solid shell you picked up this morning.
cafoose 3,354 #4444 Posted April 18, 2020 Ed, actually the deck I had is solid except for the one hole on the left side which can easily be patched. I will keep the shell I got from you to eventually build another deck. Eventually I will find a rusty deck or enough parts so I can put the parts on that solid shell. Then I will have two good decks
Ed Kennell 38,141 #4445 Posted April 18, 2020 Chuck, here are some pics of my 48" deck that had the same left side hole as yours. When rebuilding decks, I also always add a back up plate inside the deck for the height adjuster wheel brackets. 1 3

19richie66 17,500 #4449 Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) Finished another gt14 tank and made Lil’ Red a steering tower/ headlight cover assembly. Think I’m just going with an LED light bar instead of trying to fit factory style lights. Still have to trim it a little and not sure if I should paint it or not.
