I don't use a fuse, the Facet Posiflo pumps i use draw about 1.5 amps and have an internal 3.5 amp fuse.

That's true but if the wire you ran for the pump somehow gets chafed and shorts to ground a fuse will stop a meltdown.

I installed a 10 Amp fuses on my pump power supply wire right off the battery.

It has to be better than cranking for ages before fuel comes through.

Boat primer bubs are handy. I have them on the C125 and the Black Horse. Just squeeze till you feel resistance and your away. :handgestures-thumbup:

I have them as well, best thing ever, but mine perished a while back so have been running without it. Two new ones arrived in the post today as it happens!

But going to put in the fuel pump as well 🙂

Here are some promised pictures of oil temperature gauge and sending unit installed...

Fabricated up some exhaust pipe so it goes out the back...

Put on a heavier duty starter solenoid... (not shown in these pictures, but I will share later)...

Put a little flag on it!!!

I like the coyote on the rocket sticker!  That's pretty cool and perfect machine to put it on!

Reason I didn't include video is because some guys have issue with their internet playing it... and sometimes I have issues uploading video too... but I may make another video soon... with video...

Well, the arbors are now disassembled and the support bracket has been welded. It's been a really good day. If it hits 90° w/ 80% humidity, I'll fire up the 516 to mow the back and get a good sweat going. Why sweat in a steam bath when it's a Georgia Summer and you get it for free?

Yes, will definitely try this. On this 48, 2 spindles had a red grease with some black contamination and the 3rd had a watered-down black grease. Watered-down in that it was very thin - maybe more toward thick oil than grease. I'll clean and finish them today and then it's on to the mounting components...thanks!

Yeah - ain't it great what you can find at an estate sale? I got that for $15, an original klaxon for $10 and a barely used Briggs horizontal 3HP for $15. Always regret that I passed on an old freestanding drill press. I can't run that horn in the open air. People come out of their houses...was told it's from an ambulance. Was 1 of 2.

Be sure to give them a good coat of primer and paint. I will help to keep the acid in the grass from eating them up.

Yup - 12V. Not sure about that relay housing on it, though. I need to take it apart.

I just can't get these things clean enough. No access to blasting - would be painting over dirt in nooks and crannies. They're about as clean now as they can be and flush of old grease. I've got a few jam nuts and grease zerks to pick-up. Moving to the replacement bolts and nuts mode on the renew now.

The ols Cessna pump on the loader blew out the side the other day. So on my only day off  I made a new pump bracket for the new pump.

Watched the videos on YouTube, that thing is sick! And is that a mustang I saw there in the background? It looks pretty quick:auto-checkeredflag::auto-nascar::auto-layrubber:

Nope... that is a 1995 Ford Ranger, believe it or not. It is just as physically monstrous and monstrous-sounding as my Hell Horse. Mustangs and muscle cars shake in their boots when this thing roars...

I knew it was a Ford, the little chin spoiler and the lights threw me off. Yes I do see the Hell Horse in the back. I like the black paint on the horse too by the way.

Thanks man, yeah... both of them are certainly heavily modified... :banana-wrench:

I think... if I hadn't done a pretty good job with the black paint and clear coat... it would not look nearly as good.

Got some good practice with air gun spray paint though!!!:laughing-jumpingpurple:
