Thanks to this forum, the encouragement of the members and detailed instructions from @T-Mo, I rebuilt my carburetor! thank you! So awesome! It’s funny how, when you research, learn, then execute, it’s not really all that hard. A carburetor is often a mysterious thing that throws gasoline into an engine to make it run. In all reality, it’s a metering Venturi device that allows the engine to pull just enough fuel to create the perfect mixture to run efficiently. Great job!

The chipper in the back had the broken legs. That little machine did a WONDERFUL job fixing that! Time will tell if the welds are as strong as they look. Here's what the noise I was hearing was, the idler bar was all worn and bad bushings, the idler rubbing on the deck. I didn't expect to find the center pulley rubbing on the deck. What started as a minor repair is turning into a full tilt rebuild! Got some parts yesterday, going back together: Edited April 6, 2021 by Jeff-C175 3

With Candy colors the base color will drastically change the color of the top coat. A little example of how the under color will change the candy top coat color. Does the paint underneath, have an effect on the top coat of all paints, or just certain paints? Trina and I have experimented with putting WHITE OR RED PRIMER under a light red paint and also under my cinnamon paint. Under the light red paint it made quite a bit of difference but under the cinnamon paint we could see nothing... The other day she was spray painting my spindles red. There was a small area that did not have any primer. That area needed a third coat of paint because the difference was obvious.

White is usually one of the easiest to achieve hiding with. When working in a body shop we would sometimes spray a similar color base down first to make it easier to cover with the correct color. Then 3 coats of Candy Apple Red was sprayed over the top of these base colors. This resulted in 3 different colors of red. Giving a "Ghost Flame" effect. After the 3 coats of candy apple red, three coats of urethane clear was applied for UV protection, Edited April 6, 2021 by Achto 1

Tractorhead 9,064 #10243 Posted April 6, 2021 It has a fantastic look, and i like it very much. Some colors develops different color shades especially in sunlight. I also love the strong glossy on the top surface. I be completely unable to do that, I'm far too impatient for that, but i love it to see in result. 2
Gregor 4,846 #10244 Posted April 6, 2021 I had my nephew paint one of my Masseys. It's beautiful. When I took the prats to his garage, he was working on his '69 Camaro. The top was sitting in one corner. A quarter panel in another corner, And I thought there is no way in he!! he is going to get this thing back together. But he did. If I can figure out how to get text pics from my phone to here, I will show you. I had to take my old truck to the body shop,to have the door hinge pins replaced. 2

Im pretty sure thats what it was...the main power would have come down in a metal conduit to that big hole, and the meter and maybe some breakers, and then smaller wiring out the smaller holes to wherever. And there would have been a metal door over the whole thing with maybe a hole for the meter face to stick through. As far as service boxes go that would have been a monster! Bumpers would be a nice addition! Edited April 6, 2021 by Wheel Horse 3D
