This bears repeating as it is probably the cause of MOST if not ALL "loose setscrew" issues.  I believe your machine had the hubs loosen up and were never properly repaired.

@Jeff-C175 has a very valid point, but we all seem to gravitate to the "What have you done to your " post and may or may-not overlook  a post on a topic we have little interest in. When we hit 10,000 I think we should have a big celebration.

Initially I didn't follow this thread much but then I noticed there was lots of good stuff so I had to start watching it more closely.  And while there is lots in this thread it has become a "General" category.  Appreciate the knowledge but the organization is now missing.

One of the things I learned many moons ago that I don't see people doing very often is replacing the set screws after two or three uses. 

They don't have a lot of contact area and wear out after they're tightened just a few times. 

 

Another trick with those I picked up over the years is to tighten it and loosen it at least three times on the first usage.

If you do that with a closed end wrench and don't take it off of the nut you'll see that it changes clock position and gets a little tighter.

Also, don't get overly ambitious on the jam nut because that will pull the set screw out.

A few posts back you said something about hoping that your wheels would stay on with just the lug nuts and no holding by the wheel and the hub in the center hole.

 

I believe the center hub is there only to line up the wheel as it's being installed and shouldn't have anything to do with keeping it in place once the lug nuts are properly torqued. 

 

After everything is all properly tightened up you'll notice that there's actually a space in there between the center of the wheel and that hub.

Rebuild a 312 8 speed trans. Once i put her back together i wanted to fuel her up when i caught a blimp. the remaining of a fuel indicator, but the gascap doesn't have a gauge. so many strange things i found on these Horses. If they could speak, the stories they could tell.

That is the biggest shortcoming of this general conversation thread. The information is not very searchable and there tends to be a new topic entered in the midst of relevant answers to a question. That being said, you can't knock the success of this thread.

just got first set of 8 point sockets this past summer - they were in an old Craftsman tool box / chest I got

 

initially I did not know what they were intended for  lol

Just the other day found a few square heads in my grub/setscrew jar.  I think they came from my grandfather's collection!

the boxes and tools I got did come from someone's grandfather's collection - hopefully not your grandfather  lol

 

one of the boxes is pictured below ;  the other boxes are same vintage but slightly smaller and have different handles

I have that same box older style thought side handles are different mine was my grandpas from sears roebuck

replaced my tail lights with flashing LED tail lights and replaced my headlamps with sealed LED headlamps, the discovered that when i threw my chains on this year i didn't clip the keepers on and an errant chain took out my hydro cooling fan!  so... i guess ordering one of those!

Reinstalled my 50 pound wheel weights that i took off in the fall to use on the loader. Looks much better again. Havent spent any money on this machine in a few months, im thinking about a seat this week since the one on it is pretty bad.

Got my new Jim Kemp stack put on the 656. I have another one sitting here for the C-141 come spring. If I can figure out how to mount them, I will order 2 more for my "other" red tractors.

I also added a lift point to the plow to lift both sides evenly. I swapped the cardboard tube to an all weather plastic fishing rod holder, and added a lift assist bungee cord, so I could add a little more weight. 2 - 5 inches predicted over the next few days, with temps in the double digits above zero ! Some days above freezing.
