Andy N. 2,155 #9303 Posted February 16, 2021 So I had to go into work early today, and it was snowing. About mid morning during a conference call, my Ring notification kept going off. When I had a moment to look, I was pleasantly surprised to see my wife plowing the driveway on the 312-8. I was able to snap this screen shot with my phone. Of course it started snowing again shortly after this pic and hasn't stopped since, but I am thankful for the work that she put in. I guess now I'll have to share snow plowing seat time as I do the grass cutting seat time. 4 7 1

ohiofarmer 3,276 #9305 Posted February 16, 2021 Quote Updates on getting ready. ... I had to transfer the ATV tires to the c-145 from the 520 chassis. they did well without chains or weights the last snow. there is always the option of adding chains. I actually have another front plow and also a single stage. This particular storm probably would work with aa single stage pretty well. It is very rare to get a snow storm with flakes the size of flour. She's cold out there , guys. This morning I saw two hound dogs tryin' to jump start a rabbit 2

I saw the recommendation on this site somewhere awhile back and put it in my jungle site "save for later". After I drill 6(?) Holes it'll be the lower cutting edge for the 61" plow I got from @wallfish. I'll also be adding a reinforcing bar of some sort across the top. Beast plow! 2

Been to Denton one time and that will be my last. My family and I had a bad experience with some of the people helping at show. They were very rude and nasty. We scratched that off the list of one to attend. When I know if the show is going to happen this year, I will post it. There is one in Thomasville in June, one in Hickory in May. ohiofarmer 3,276 #9319 Posted February 17, 2021 (edited) Murphy came to my house big time. First, there is a tiny leak in the pellet boiler. it is at a threaded fitting so hopefully there is not any leaks in the water jacket. it automatically shuts down in that event of water loss, so with all this snow, I decided to shut it down and drained the water jacket. That done, i went to fire up the C-145 that i ah changed over the tires and blade and nothing happened Put on a fresh battery and there was quite a draw on the ground wire with. When i was getting close to plowing, the neighbor was doing his good deed and plowed the driveway in to the deep drift and then could not back drag it from the garage. i was a little upset just because i wanted to play with a Wheel horse blade for the first time.My plan was to plow the shallow stuff that was only 8 inches deep because of wind blow off and then keep moving the deep snow to the shallow end where the next snowfall would not drift deeper It was about an hours worth of light left when I chewed a hole through the two foot drift that went twenty feet after i shoveled a starting slot outside from the slick garage floor. the bright spot of the day was it mattered not that the blade would only be straight on the 520. I just peeled a bit from the side and those ATV Firestones really worked a treat without weight or chains. It took a long time to work nearly all the plow truck stack down, but i got almost all of it that matters. I still have a 30 inch drift of some consequence to chew away, but it is undisturbed snow, so imma gonna work on the 145. With no wires hooked up except the battery cables there is still voltage draw, so I am thinking solenoid. is at least partially stuck on..I have been taking pictures to add later, but duty calls... On edit, the Harbor Freight 420 quit running for some reason after a single exhaust backfire. so now I had to trade wheels aGAIN to pull it into the shop. i had to shovel through the deepest drift to get the c-160 out and then traded the tires. the mighty C has limited slip and with my fat self standing on the hitch, it managed to pull the plow tractor backwards with the blade on the ground.. i am beat to death, so will do what I have to tomorrow. another storm is coming with not so much snow, so hopefully i can keep up. But if it is too cold to work on it right now just make sure you keep adding gear oil. Also if you can jack it up see if there is any up/down front/rear play in the hub. (a little in and out is oK)

The seal can be replaced from the outside. if it has been leaking for a while the hub may come off easily. Do not beat on it if you use a 3 jaw puller and it doesn't move fairy easily stop and look in the transmission section here for various methods to remove the hub. The 3 jaw can break the hub if you push it hard. 3

Plug in whatever comes to mind in the search window and change the search to "*** AND ***" to include the words. Here's the link:
MichiganCO 4 #9325 Posted February 17, 2021 I’m having a issue with it. It’s a c-100 8 speed 10HP. Placed in high range and then shift into 2nd and 3rd gear it seems to be as slow as 1st gear. Yesterday it was running amazing and today it’s slow and barely can move
