Seems to have plenty of power to push although I was only moving maybe 3 or 4 inches. I did push back some snowbanks and that went fine. 

The right side of the big plow was already tweaked back a hair. I kissed a boulder and now it's a bigger tweakage. 

No worries. 

I'll order up a cutting edge off the jungle site and get that mounted up ASAP.

Y'know... Yes..... But other than that, It really doesn't feel or behave any different from the 48".  I feel no difference in weight on the manual handle.  

I really need to get the front attach-o-matic side brace on and some front roller chains. 

I also have more wheel weights at my parents house I need to get to here.

Trina and I both are pondering making up a pair of sidewings. 

That would put her 42" plow to 48 or more and I could seriously see adding another foot to this one. 

Disadvantage is I really can't get behind the Horse stable with it.....

Not that serious though because she still can.

My little snow pusher is my C-85 with a 48" blade.  Not sure why since I have much heavier/bigger horses, but...

Filled rears with 2-links, 6" of moderate snow is maxed, steering first but pushing is close behind.  

I've thought about another with a BIG blade for after cleanup to scrape clean but the wider the blade the less clean....

Had to go fore and back a few times to break through. 

After that it was great. I'd have to do the same here.

It had a 54" front plus side scoops plus that was another (3'?)

Claimed clearing width was roughly 10 feet.

Mounted & wired some cab lights on Denny. First pic just the Par 36 @dclarke had in her. Second pic these things will blind you ... you can't look right into them... like looking at a weld arc.

@WHX24 a bit more info on those lights would be greatly appreciated. Although I don’t blow at night, ya never know might depending on weather. Super nice setup you have!

Here you go Bill. I got the set with 4 little guys to use two of them on another project and the set with just two was only 10 bucks cheaper. Seem as I always have to blow at night after work or early AM so the missus can get out to go to work...... until I mount these babies! Plus you can use them for just general purpose lighting at night in the summer.

Would be interesting to know what the amp draw is on them. Might have to check when I make a custom switch panel for them like the other 520.. Juse wired them to what Denny already had and need to talk to him about some other wiring mods he has done.

 Damn the torpedos  full lights ahead... sides @pullstart taught me everthing he knows about overloading & Ohms law and I never got along anyway.

This is not exactly your off the shelf 520. Denny has got her wired for sound. The last set I installed  at full draw.

I found this while looking for the side extensions for the front plow. 

Hadn't heard of a Garden Tractor before with a side wings plow. 

Pretty impressive even if the "wrong"  colors...

You can flip that over to use the top side edge. I never did any additional support on the back of the added extensions so you might want to take a look at doing something if they're being bent back.

I'm fairly sure I'd be okay or at least far far better off if I had a taller and thicker cutting edge. I'm going to make a phone call to a fella this morning and get something either from him or the jungle site.

 

Any suggestions on what to use to beef up the outer curved edge?.

Can't remember exactly what I did adding the extensions on but the first thought to beef it up is to slide a thick or multiple pieces of flat bar into that hollow support at the lower rear of the blade. It doesn't need to go all the way through the entire length of the blade just 6-8 inches either side of the welded seam. Drill a 1/2 inch hole in the back to weld a spot to hold in place. It can go all the way through if you want the added weight. Even some rebar would work which you should be able to get locally and cheap.
