Jhook 849 #7139 Posted October 17, 2020 Working on the trans oil change between tows today. Go it jacked up draining right now. Drain plug was finger tight which is kinda wierd. But going to put some diesel fuel in it and jack up the rear and let it run in 3rd high range for a few minutes then drain the diesel, change the shift boot, and top it back off. Gotta remove the shifter once its drained and flushed.

rjg854 11,387 #7148 Posted October 17, 2020 (edited) Head gasket was leaking on the 1076, so I pulled the head and this is what I found. So obviously I cleaned it all up and sanded the head to be sure it was flat And put it back together. Torqued the head and ran it for awhile and got it nice and warm, let it cool and retorqued the bolts. I'll check it again after some more run time. rjg854 11,387 #7149 Posted October 17, 2020 Next up was the carb on the Raider 12. And man was it nasty. The float needed adjustment, and I think it was sticking because at times I had gas leaking out from the front of the carb. Seems to run better now. So all in all it was a good day.
