For those inquiring minds, I hereby present...

...the essentials.

two thumbs up !

long long time ago when I worked at body shops - one of the first things we did was to go over the body or affected panels with PPG / Ditzler (?) wax and grease remover

could not find old can of wax and grease remover - but did find another oldie-but-goodie :

Back story. I purchased this recently. It hadn’t run in two years. Mice moved in and things looked bad. So at the advice of you guys I started with electrical and trying to get it started. Today I added a new battery and new ignition switch. I put a in-line 30 amp fuse and more...

Looking like you are on track to get it back running. I see your ignition switch still had the plastic cover. Two of mine still had them after 45-50 years.

I’m not sure I have the technical skill. I will have to research it later on.

You'll have absolutely no problem.

They're VERY easy to do.

2 full new cans of brake clean.

Carb kit is less than $20.

Pop it off. Disassemble. Clean well outside with degreaser and inside with the brake clean. Reassemble.

Snowblower off a 1978 c141 will fit 300 series tractors correct? A chance came up to get a clean side discharge deck and a single stage blower for a fair price

I was going to replace it. I think I can clean it up and reinstall somehow. Thanx for idea.

Oh, they can work. And work and work and work.
And sometimes, they can be very pretty, but they can still work.

We have 2 fully restored horses. Colossus will be a freshly built fully painted project.

ALL are or will be workers.

Of course!

Wheel Horse, of course.
While that snowblower I'm working on may not be a WH, everyone who's seen the progress in person says, "You're not going to actually use this are you? It's too nice."
To which I reply, "Oh my sweet summer child, she was meant to be used, and so she shall."

I asked my Trina something along that line at one point.

Her response was (paraphrased).  "I know how to buy more paint".

Been using Rustoleum antique white lately...

If nothing else, because it's always on everyone's shelf.

You may be suprised to find Covid has wiped out your normal suppliers inventory.

The key is:

If you think you have a carb problem, tear the entire carb down. They're not terrible complex. But they have some tiny holes which can easily become clogged.
