WHX?? 48,833 #6953 Posted October 10, 2020 (edited) FINALLY got the wheel spacers on the 1055 ..... what a bunch of screwing around! Hardware issues mostly. Spacers are all set up for 1/2-20. Studs are of course 7/16 but the studs I had were too short ... githerdone! Drilled the hub holes out to 1/2" and used 1/2-20 x 2" bolts. Dang near killed me to take the 7/16 threads out of the hubs but I just kept telling myself @Achto has no problem removing 60 yo metal! Lock washers are ther 'cause the bolts were just a 1/8" too long. Thanks Dan you corrupted me! Wonder if 60 years from now some FO (future owner) will go ... WTF was this guy thinking?!?!? Before After Amazing what just an 1 1/2 will do. Rears line up perfect with the new V-61's on wider rims on the front now. echris 1,425 #6954 Posted October 10, 2020 (edited) Mulched the leaves in the yard again today. I didn't really *need* to do it yet, but I was having a crappy day and guess what? I felt much better after an hour or so tooling around on my WH making noise and clouds of dust. Edit: I'm sure nobody else here understands that. JCM 9,177 #6955 Posted October 10, 2020 Now that our painting days are getting shorter I figured with the weather today was a good time to paint the rear wheels on the 418-A. I removed the chrome hub caps on the front to see what the condition of the wheels were and there was about a half a tube of grease all over every inch of both wheels. decided not to paint them at this time. Both side covers and footrests were done in late August. I recently bought this and have been doing a few things as time allows. Painted the black center of the rear hubs and installed a rear hitch for the 48'' dozer blade that I have not used since the early 90's and thought I would try it with a Hydro tractor for cleaning up after light snow storms. Have included pics when it came home and a few from today. 5
ebinmaine 67,641 #6956 Posted October 10, 2020 @Stepney Spenser stopped by and I threw a few Wheelhorse parts at him. He's helping someone out by fixing up a "woods find" round hood. Great to see some of our pile o parts being used to get a horse back on its feet. 4

Can you email me a 42 or 48" deck so I don't have to spend my winter patching the sheetmetal?

I would probably ditch the lock washers and use flat washers on the bolts though. I've seen too many lock washers split apart. Not a place where you would want this to happen. 4 1

Achto 27,609 #6964 Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) I finally got around to mounting my new grader blade on to one of my tractors. My C-141 8 speed seemed to be a good candidate. My neighbor was doing some land scaping & I ask him if I could smooth out the dirt and ruts that he made with his compact tractor. I had a lot of fun playing with my new toy. The little bit I did with it turned out pretty good too. Edited October 11, 2020 by Achto 4

echris 1,425 #6966 Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) It's funny, I have no need for a grader, but the more I see you guys posting your graders and the jobs you do, Oh dear, I would like to have a grader. @ebinmaine Can you email one of those too? I says to to Trina one day, toss this on ya Pigpen and see what you think. It's "hers" now. Only works for "her" . Not useful to me or anything I own. Ahh well.
