I unloaded it, cut the grass for 10 minutes, got bored and fired up the 1277 to finish🤣 Whatta machine though! She will get a coat of wax and flipped to a new home in the spring. Also did a pulley change on Hoss (hey @WHX24 you read that??😄) went from 1.5 ratio to 1:1 and fit the belt guard as well. ohiofarmer 3,265 #6805 Posted September 28, 2020 Had a bad day wrenching with a bit of good. First, I cleaned the ag wheels a bit that came with the twin black hoods. Soap and water and the paint is not really all that bad. The stock wheels were left on the tractor for testing out the abrasive brush. Dry rust came off well and I am thinking of using that brush to rotate that wheel for sandpaper. The rest of the day was spent trying to figure out why the C-121 became so hard to start yesterday. I am still not sure whether to look to fuel or spark issues. i think that it is time to swap a known good coil and condenser to the thing and start from there.I tried to swap one component at a time and just made a mess.of things The frame horns on the Black hoods are just as weak as the 4 and 500 series. broke right at the bolt holes. Bed frame rails welded on should fix that later. that requires pulling the gas tank and pulling the tank means a new transmission filter. because the filter blocks access to the tank mounting bolt.. There will be a screw at the base of the shifter that has a jam nut on it. Loosen the jam nut then back the screw out. We had a brand new one at the dealership, no later than 1987, but man was she a beaut! Pretty sure the boss just ordered it to put on the showroom floor to flex.
