8ntruck 7,017 #4751 Posted May 14, 2020 Actually, PeacemakerJack, your fire is ok. It is contained and looks like it is a 'warmth/cooking' fire. Those are legal as long as they are properly extinguished. Kevin, on the other hand should be expecting a citation in his mailbox soon. Got the bits and pieces for my receiver hitch roughed out today. Need to do some trimming/fitting, then I can start tacking everything together for a rest fit. 2
ZXT 2,401 #4752 Posted May 15, 2020 Came home from work to find the roofing crew still hard at work putting a new roof on the house. Watched them finish up, and by the time they left it was about 45 minutes to dark. Hadn't mowed a large area of my place this year because I let the wild flowers grow and go to seed, so I pulled the C-120 out of hibernation and tried mowing with it for the first time this year. Made a pass and once I reached a part with an incline, it died out. No fuel in the carb. Pressurized the tank and filled the bowl up and it ran fine until I got to the same spot again. Guess the fuel pump is on its last legs. Parked it and got the C-160 out. Pulled the tiller and idler assembly off of it, and then pulled the deck off the C-120 and installed it. Never mowed with it before, and man is the hydraulic lift nice! Way gutsier than the K321 on the C-120. Finished up mowing right before it got pitch black out. I need to get headlights in it!

8ntruck 7,017 #4755 Posted May 15, 2020 Worked for a bit on my receiver hitch. Then I borrowed the neighbor's lawn roller and beat the mole hills down at the lake house. 4
rjg854 11,387 #4756 Posted May 15, 2020 Got the new 16hp engine for the C-160 today, and it's mostly hooked up. Throttle, choke, and exhaust to go. Along with fuel lines. There's one wire that seems to be missing from the equation . I've got a spot for one to go, but I've. seemed to run out of wires. I want to thank @richmondred01 for rebuilding this engine and having available for sale. Hope to have this running by tomorrow night, if all goes as expected . 4

WELL done

Got another engine to put on it and it should be good to go. Then I can finish Skittles 4 2
rjg854 11,387 #4762 Posted May 16, 2020 @D_Mac I only have six tractors here, and one sitting in PA that I was going to pick up at the show. Can you say road trip, as soon as things calm down some. That way I have one for each day of the week

I've mowed with a K-341 on my Cub Cadet 1650, but for some reason, it is friggin' gutless. No clue why. Far weaker than the 12hp Tecky that came off of my C-120. If you get on any sort of an incline while mowing, it'll bog down to nothing. The C-160 is far superior. Got a big storm rolling in now with high winds... Guess now is as good a time as any to test out the new shingles LOL! Edited May 16, 2020 by ZXT

The non essential travel ban (life sustaining travel only) was lifted in most of Pa yesterday. The ban is still in place where I am in South Central to South Eastern Pa. My county is scheduled to open next Friday. So come on down Randy.

adsm08 2,070 #4769 Posted May 16, 2020 (edited) New plug, coil, and condenser on the 855 and she fired up and ran great. Gonna have to wait until Monday to do the points, the tune up kit wasn't supposed to arrive until mid-week so I left my feeler gauges at work and found the stuff in the mail when I got home Friday. Cylinder leak down says it still needs a valve job, but that can wait a bit. Edited May 16, 2020 by adsm08
SylvanLakeWH 25,600 #4770 Posted May 17, 2020 Added a 2500 LB winch to the back of the WHrat WHRecker... One more item to go and this will be my designated tug... Discerning eyes may note the lack of dually's... Sigh... Getting the boat in the garage, along with the kayaks etc. demanded the removal and storage of the dually's ...

8ntruck 7,017 #4772 Posted May 17, 2020 @SylvanLakeWH - how are you powering that's winch? I picked up a similar winch from HF during one of their clearance sales a few months back. Making an adaptor to mount that winch in the receiver hitch I am building sounds like a good future project.
SylvanLakeWH 25,600 #4773 Posted May 17, 2020 @8ntruck - Just a dedicated battery. The tractor has a predator swap on it so there was no battery. I just put one in the tray and will keep it on a trickle charge... gotta clean up the path of the wires a bit... Works great! Pulled my other tractor right along no problems... 1
rjg854 11,387 #4774 Posted May 17, 2020 Finished installing the engine on the C-160 yesterday and it runs great, some more minor adjustments, but it's definitely alive and well. Didn't have time for pictures because my son is here and we were also getting ready for his 40th birthday Today I'll hook up the drive system and reinstall the sheet metal and make it look like a tractor again. Before I installed the engine I had a spare front end of a 68 Commando in the parts room, so I swapped that out for what was on the 160. It had odd ball spindles and a welded up tie rod, and so the wheels were cocked and the spindle mounts were worn. it all swapped with no problem, axle, spindles and tie rods, nice and tight now. Even the steering wheel looks straight again 3
