There is going to be yellow forsythia some sort of purple bush plant deal and some small evergreens mixed in. It'll be a border on the front lawn. First time this machine has cut grass in over 30 years and the first time in about 40 years that I've cut grass with a 60's era Horse. adsm08 2,022 #4461 Posted April 20, 2020 I tried using the 800S to pull down a tree yesterday but it didn't have the oomph. Every time I got the rope tight the rear of the tractor started lifting up and lost traction. The tree I wanted didn't fall in the direction I wanted and got stuck in another tree which then also got cut down. I didn't want to cut it yet because it was still healthy, but it was of the same type as the one I originally wanted down, and very close, so eventually it would have posed the same threat. chip61 658 #4462 Posted April 20, 2020 I bought this C141 last fall as a backup machine. I knew it had some issues when I bought it, but the more I looked, the more problems came up. Hard to start, ran rough, no power and wouldn't idle. Hydro was sluggish (barely moved in reverse) and alt not charging. On the positive side, tractor was pretty clean and came with a very nice 48" deck. So over the winter I went to work on it and I've given it a good workout the past couple weekends. I have to say I really like this machine! The one thing I really like on this and the Eaton hydro machines is the actual drum brake-the only thing I dislike about my C160. Since parts of it have been repainted (I don't like the color) I think I will probably put a quick paint job on it with new decals. I know the rear fender pan is different I once took in a parts machine that was all manner of discombobulation. Most of it was early 70s. Hood had C111 stickers. Just curious... Starting in 76 they were still the old C. Style and had bolted pans. (I have a 74 with a parts pile 77.) The C- 41 had the gas tank under the seat the hole for the gas won't be there on older C seat pans. The 1976 and 1977 fender pans the bolt down hole will match but you have to saw a hole for the gas tank. You could also use a 300,400 and 500 fender pan they will bolt right on with the gas tank hole. Don't have a hinged fender pan the the hole may be the same.
