Stormin 9,981 #4303 Posted April 3, 2020 Been a few dry days, so I thought I'd mow the green etc. Put the 42" deck on the C-125 and off we went. Oh no we didn't. The 125 was reluctant to start. Very reluctant. Eventually it burst into life but would not idle very well. Must admit it's never run right since the engine rebuild. Anyway got the green and the start of the bridleway done and decided to try by the pond. Got half way along and the deck stopped cutting. Didn't take much investigation to see the cutter drive belt was loose. The tension spring had broken at one end. Of course I've quite a few tension springs, but none like the broken one. So it looks like the 36" deck I acquired last year is going to see some use until I can go and get a spring. Tomorrow the C-125 will have a carb swop. I've a recon one on the shelf. I'll also check the pump, though I don't suspect that is the problem.

Lane Ranger 10,968 #4306 Posted April 3, 2020 Put a parking brake on my 702 Wheel Horse that was a new old stock one given to me by my friend D. J. Harrison (hcminnis on Red Square) . My 702 did not have one due to the clutch rod set up being different from original). But I managed to get it on and working with just a little bit of fine tuning in the grinder! also ran the 702 and 701 outside for a bit after getting nine of my tractors on one side of my garage- my side in other words- my wife’s other words! 5 4

Drove home through the field. Short cut, ya know? This is the thanks I get from Mrs. Pullstart... I can say I got her back, but it wasn’t mud up the nose and in the mouth
