If you use some WD-40 and "0000 Steel Wool" you can bring back the color while preserving thaq patina. Motor was covered with about 50 plastic Wal-Monopoly bags and turns over. Was told it was parked in 1985 and ran/operated good but too old for use. Never use those words in the same breath or sentence.... 1969 Charger 12. Does the phrase "Never look a gift Horse in the mouth" apply? Wasn't off the beads...but might as soon as I go to drive for first time. No idea how I am keeping it either. One of the techs is a former Toro dealer employee. Trina and I needed a tractor that was physically heavier weight for towing loads of rocks for stone walls. We now have 4 running, 3 in project stage. Wheelhorse is reliable, easy to maintain and repair, bull strong. Lots of implements if you desire them. We've done frame off restorations on 2. Mechanical restorations on 3. Other brands are interesting to look at. None are as simple and practical. It's an 8. Wheelhorse used 2 different hi/lo transmissions over the years. The 6 speed was used from 67 to 69 or 70. From then on they were very similar but not identical.
