No I don't but doubt it would have helped. water would have just layed on top of it and froze. Condensation would freeze to the under side but then when the sun would be out it melts and literally rained inside.

ebinmaine 67,567 #2528 Posted June 18, 2019 Craig and Jim I was advised by quite a good many people both on this site and in my own area to put a moisture barrier on the floor of any type of portable shelter. Moisture is constantly evaporating out of the ground no matter where you are. Obviously, some places more than others. The tarpaulin top cover of these type of shelters keeps that condensate from going any further than the inside of said shelter.

Wonder why they don't build in some gable vents on these shelters?? This would solve a lot of moisture problems.

I did actually see one just a few days ago that had a Gable end vent. No idea if it was part of the purchased unit or something the owner installed.
Racinbob 11,086 #2531 Posted June 18, 2019 Well, it's only been a year but I finally found the time to get the 854 going that I picked up at last years show. I went through it front to rear but isn't a restoration. One of the things I did was a complete rewire. I was bummed on the first test run when I saw that it was showing a discharge on the ammeter. Got the voltmeter out and quickly realized some dummy electrician hook it up backwards The drive doesn't seem to 'connect' properly so I've got some checking out to do there. I got a decent deck with it but I won't be using it. This one will mainly be a shuttle to and from the garage down the hill and for my wife to putz around. 7

Eclaire-moi, s'il te plaît. The total of what we ended up doing is removing some of the mossy material from what was the forest floor. Filling the holes where the stumps came out with rocks. Leveling the lowest corner with a layer of rocks. That was roughly one cubic yard. We then laid a 9 mil thick two-sided tarp down. Covered that tarp with anywhere between 2 inches on the high side, down to 6 or 7 inches on the low side, of 3/4" Stone.
Super-C 4 me 612 #2535 Posted June 18, 2019 I had the same problem with moisture. Now just leave the door open most of the time unless a storm is coming. Middle of winter freezing outside suns out, 75 degrees in my shelter tractors all sweating like a cold beer on a summers day. so that being said door stays open to keep temp. the same inside and out. No problems with tractor sweat after that. Keeps the sun and rain off them, that's really what I wanted it for. There are after market vents you can glue or contact cement into place. 12x20 stored 7 tractors this past winter. D250 D160/loader GT14 1054 C195 520xi C100/16hp probably could have squeezed one more in

One of the other problem I had was snowmelt would run in then refreeze. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/category_tarps-canopies-shelters+instant-garages-instant-shelters+alpine-style-instant-garages-shelters 22 minutes ago, bmiller0457 said: leave the door open most of the time unless a storm is coming. There ya go right ther Brian. Decided not to put yours up @AMC RULES? Next year I may look into one one of those storage units for short term winter storage. They seem to be popping up all over around here. Edited June 18, 2019 by WHX24

It ran real good when I picked it up but I figured prior to removing the engine I would go through it and check everything. The intake valve was ticking so that brought on the investigation. It came with receipts for a rebuild and still has some cross hatch in the cylinder. Not bad for a 20 year old rebuild. After a quick valve adjustment, a carbon cleaning and a static timing on the ignition she runs like a top. First phase of the tare down: Engine removal. Next phase will be the hydro unit and lift. 2
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #2538 Posted June 18, 2019 Took the 753 with me to work today so I could fix the leaking tire on the front...got ready to load it back up and my old buddy wanted to take it for a spin...I’d say by the look on his face he was having fun. Went by the storage shed on my way home and robbed the battery out of the Commando V8 to put in the C125 so I can take it with me tomorrow and fix the leaking tire on it as well.

cafoose 3,355 #2543 Posted June 19, 2019 It really surprises me what a little K181 on my 876 can do! I sold my old parts truck today and pulled it out to where the tow truck can access it easier. I didn't need to but an excuse for more seat time! 1
