ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #1902 Posted February 18, 2019 @Shed @ebinmaine I will get some up close pics of the setup when I get back over to the shop...maybe tonight...theres not a whole lot of weight on the front of this tractor...that little briggs is a feather compared to our Kohlers, i can pick up the front and set it on jackstands with one hand, so weight shouldnt be a problem

I know what you mean. The late 70s 8 horse Briggs that is in Trina's 657 temporarily is so light I can pick it up and walk it around with one hand. All aluminum block and head.
Lee1977 6,659 #1904 Posted February 18, 2019 The question is, does the little Briggs have enough power to lift the front end. I would say it does if revived up high enough. If it does it's going come down hard. Will the front axle and wheels stay together?
Shed 248 #1905 Posted February 18, 2019 Maybe it won't hold up to wheelies but you'll sure look cool doing it

giddyap 1,569 #1910 Posted February 19, 2019 Professor1990 "Flipped the front spindles to lower the front end" I cannot flip the spindles on my 704 (stock photo) So I had to find out why? Your 701 axle is like a 551 Suburban and mine is not. Lucky me for I have one laying around. Thanks for posting because I may have never known the difference.

And I had to find out why I could not do the same with my 704. Most axles, the spindles rest in holes that are slanted. Compare Professor1990's axle, it is like a 551, which the spindle holes are straight verticle.
fishingstar 17 #1912 Posted February 25, 2019 I put a electric fuel pump on my 520h. I should have done it 20 years ago. 6

WHX?? 48,815 #1914 Posted February 25, 2019 Fishing! Ripped the short chute right off the single cable turn in this wet sloppy mess we got today. Already fixed it a dozen times so swapped it out with the tall chute off the backup 520. Fifty mph winds I wasn't about to sit in a tractor without a cab! 2 1
Shynon 7,459 #1915 Posted February 25, 2019 Put one of these on the 520's the other day, starts right up without the choke. Pretty happy, will have to see how the loader responds after sitting for weeks. 5
LengerichKA88 1,883 #1916 Posted February 25, 2019 I’ve gotten reinterested in one of my other hobby’s recently and the tractors have taken a back seat. This past weekend though I bought em out right. So they’re mine all mine now. I also took the plow off the Charger (to make sure it snows again of course). Removed the old decals on the hood, and upgraded the shower head muffler that I don’t care for. 3

One 520 if it sat for a week you almost had to hand feed it before it would start. Now always fires right off with some choke if it's real cold. Very low restriction on them too. 3

702 timmy 25 #1922 Posted February 27, 2019 new to me. I have asked questions just never posted pics. Picked this up in Macugie Pa from it's original owner. It came with a 42 rear discharge deck, 48" plow and chains. This is how it came very clean. Alway's kept in heated garage at a car wash. Think I got a deal, paid $750. It was 400 hundred m,iles from home, but well worth the trip. 7
