ebinmaine 67,492 #1658 Posted January 1, 2019 (edited) Thanks to @Retierd WrencherWrencher We put rear chains on Trina's 657. Of course she had to go driving around in the yard to make sure they were tight and secure. Edited January 1, 2019 by ebinmaine 7

Turned it over again this spring, tilled & planted the veggies. they claim this puts nitrogen back into the soil. Jim: Very hard for me to believe! How could you do all this when you were out scarfing up Wheel Horse tractors all over the state???

Looks like you're having plenty of good seat time ! Hahaha. We've had plenty already. More this morning. This year will be a learning experience for us for plowing the yard in general and also using the tractor. I'm trying several different tractors as we get them ready for use to see which one will be the best and keep the snow/dozer blade on it.

It has a stock engine pulley but I’m running a 2” on the transmission so it will move on pretty good in 3rd gear.

Never had a problem but was always worried about all of that weight bearing on that single narrow point under case. Then since there was a bit of play in the hitch I welded a large plate under there to hitch so weight would be distributed over a much larger area and not directly to case. Its worrisome specially if it bounces up and down such as before I welded plate. Now I upgraded it to a heavy duty hitch by one of members here, that puts weight in the correct areas.
Razorback 1,035 #1675 Posted January 3, 2019 New to me C160.... in the process of draining the 8-speed transmission..... jacked up the front, raised the right rear a bit to lean the drain hole to the left. Will keep a catch pan under it overnight to let it drain good. Did I see mention of putting diesel in the transmission and driving it a bit to clean it good?
