Nat Faust 46 #1330 Posted October 21, 2018 I put my new carb and fuel pump on, and flipped over the deck belt so I could test out the deck. Did a couple passes on the lawn before the ratty belt snapped. No big deal, I have a new one coming, just couldn't resist giving it a try! I baled some of the grass into little mini bales after it dried out all day. It'll make for good decoration for Halloween. Cats couldn't help but get in on a picture! I'm so glad I have this old horse. My Vietnam vet neighbor likes it too. 2 2

Tractorhead 9,064 #1332 Posted October 21, 2018 Improovings... to get it Road Legal ( i will try it, even if it is completley crazy, i know, but i'll try...) i search and found nice flash lights they looks i.m.h.o pretty nice on it. While working with my FEL, suddenly i hear a rattling not really successful noise. The FEL works not corectly, as i expected... what's up ? Upps, i found, that my Hydraulic clutch didn't work further, as expected. after disassemble, i found the Reason for.. Aaaaaaaaahhh! - eieiei, here we have to urgently do something and fine a better solution. ok, no problem, let's make a new clutch between Drive Pulley and Hydraullics on the Lathe. then try, if it fit's ..... Ok, - back in Business. 2
ebinmaine 67,592 #1333 Posted October 21, 2018 Me and the Patriot horse b80 had a little discussion today with a boulder that has been working its way up through the surface of the ramp that we just got done building back in May. Turned out to be one of those tip of the iceberg only showing kind of scenarios. I knew it couldn't have been too immense because I was involved in 95% of the construction of this ramp. So I got a hold of a few garden tools and started scraping around the edges of it. I had to dig down about 20 inch or so and get the chains wrapped around it. At that point it was a very heavily weighted 925 lb tractor versus a rock that is 18 to 20 in across in every direction and dense material so it probably weighs between 300 and 400 lb. Maybe more? On the second attempt ... dragged out. 6 4

LengerichKA88 1,883 #1338 Posted October 26, 2018 Took it out for a spin! Then I dug the broken bulbs out of the headlights and pulled the old wiring in the Charger 10, and taught the son the finer points of the game “Chicken” 😂 2

Have a feeling there will be some father/ son and father/ daughter bonding done over these machines.
19richie66 17,508 #1342 Posted October 26, 2018 Definitely good times if you start them off young. My son is still in the custom truck phase and my daughter doesn’t care anything about them. So I kinda do this by myself but its relaxing when I’m not smashing a finger or tripping over an airhose.

Right now, we’re at the stage that I’m tripping over the toys he drops when he realizes “daddy’s working on the tractor” that I don’t see 😂😂
PeacemakerJack 10,738 #1344 Posted October 26, 2018 Terry @Vinylguy knocked it out of the park yet again (not that anyone should be surprised by that!)!!! As some of you know, I acquired a relatively rare PP-10HD plow designed for the 953/1054 tractors (thank you @953 nut for suppling the info and original sales brochure) for Dad a couple years back. We intended to use it on his 875 until we realized that it was too heavy to handle with the strong arm lift and sonit went on the shelf until we got Dad “Clyde” for his birthday. Then this plow was perfect for the tractor is was designed to be used on. Anyway, after Dad refurbished it and added his own custom land wheel, we knew it needed a custom Terry graphic. We bounced some different ideas back and forth and settled on this one... Definitely a nice finishing touch to an awesome and functional attachment! Terry for another outstanding job! 4 7

Tractorhead 9,064 #1346 Posted October 26, 2018 (edited) Can't doing that much, just Order a new Engine.... While i want to prepare for oilservice for Winter, i fired the Engine lift the FEL, when i hear a extremly loud "plopp" sound and engine Stalls, it sounded like a exploded exhause with a metallic sound in background. Not easy to describe.😁 All tries, to fire it up again was unsucessfully, accompanied by massive drain of oil and fuel while cranking.😢 it runs beside the exhaust (hard to take a pic there) and drains over the exhaust. After a bit closer investigation with endoscope it seems, that the Cylinderhead is ripped near or by the Exhaustvalve. I don't wanna give up my horse - not yet- so many work and several ideas i have with, so i decided, it only need's a new Engine. my Wife meant - it was "just a machine", buy something new.... Hey, that's daddy's Toy - it must be safed. 😉 This discussion ended up by Ok, order a new Engine.😄 Did i told it, i hate it to wait...😎 Edited October 26, 2018 by Tractorhead 1
19richie66 17,508 #1347 Posted October 26, 2018 Covered her in sawdust today. After the nice rain and now the wind is blowing, I figured I would do some overdue tree trimming. Hopefully tomorrow I can get her 3 point hitch parts painted. Suppose to be low humidity and no chance of rain. I primed them last week and they have been hanging in the shed since. 3
