Might have to add just a scosche.
jeepdan 335 #23352 Posted Friday at 12:57 AM (edited) As of today, both the 1989 312-8 resto-mod and the 1989 310-8 are now sporting NOS mower decks. No more patching rust or getting dirt in the old eyes while mowing. Edited Friday at 01:00 AM by jeepdan 4
MainelyWheelhorse 1,008 #23353 Posted Friday at 01:07 AM Those tires are huge @ebinmaine are they much heavier than the old ones? Today I did this, I got some nail polish containers and paint to touch up the 312 and 308. I still need to get some black paint. I also painted the old hood badge from the new hood for the 312 for a sublimation printer project for a hat. The old art degree coming in handy 😁. 5

I jacked up the opposite side rear to tilt it and get as much out as I could. I didn’t realize that there was another plug underneath. I’ll do that today. I had also intended to do the diesel flush, so I’ll do both now! Thanks again and much appreciated! Guys, quick update…I couldn’t get the bottom drain plug out, so I flushed it twice with diesel and drained it thru the side plug, BUT, after the second drain I ran compressed air through the fill hole - worked great! You just knew to cover the side plug with a rag or whatever you have as not to make a mess. I think this is a very viable option if your bottom plug isn’t cooperating. 3

stvski80085 142 #23356 Posted Saturday at 01:34 AM Cleaning up the techy head. Head gasket was leaking. Going to get it working for the raider 9. Where the Tecumseh engines white? I see white red and looks like the last color was black. I need to get a different carb at some point. The original air filter won’t fit this cheap eBay one. Putting it back together tomorrow. 3

Hoping to be able to take tractors this year to big show. Been a bad year so far so I haven't had much time for my hobbies/toys due to my dad's health. Simply put.....he doesn't have much time left. 2 3

ineedanother 1,389 #23370 Posted Sunday at 04:22 PM Swapped manual lift for hydro. It took quite a bit of wrangling or at least more than I had expected. I flipped the bracket for the control valve to get it a little higher and bring the hoses up off the foot rest a bit. I also notched the flange of the footrest to give the long cylinder hose some relief from rubbing on it and causing problems down the road. Most of the wrangling was with the brake rod. Many times on and off to get the bends just right for it to route over the hoses. All in all not a bad project and hopefully worth the effort when I'm dragging a tiller.

ebinmaine 70,696 #23374 Posted Sunday at 11:00 PM We spent several hours today doing garden prep. Removed many rocks. Several were right around the limits of us and our machines. Made good progress. Before: Here's the Double Spike Ripper I set up. Transport mode. In use mode. This was the largest rock we moved today. Note the size in comparison to a rear tire. Trina's Military Tribute Tractor in use. Chickens helping. After. We'll be doing more Ripper Spike work later this week. Deeper set. 1
