Red Stallion 74 #23001 Posted Sunday at 02:56 AM After a break waiting for my over priced parts to arrive, I have spent today mainly swearing a lot and then crying. I'm trying to take off the fly wheel for those who can relate.

But it did take place six years before I was born…..😁 Yep. A little more than an hour north of Portland by wheels. I've delivered near the area.

That's not far from my (new) place. I probably wasn't vacationing there after Labor day that year, and I was 15. Lol. My machines weren't made yet

Racinbob 11,507 #23011 Posted Sunday at 02:39 PM I had a bad squalling sound from the starter on the reborn B-80 starter. I had ordered a new starter several weeks ago but was hesitant to put it on fearing it might be more than just the starter. We were getting snow every day and I needed the tractor. This morning was a good time to attack it. As you know it's a very simple job. When I got the old one off I was actually thrilled how bad it was. It took quite a bit of force to turn it and the noise was evident. I'm surprised it hung in there like it did. Bolted this new one in and it's good for another few decades. I wonder if I can file a warranty claim? 3

Replaced my failing 40yo. Not sure who you would file the claim with? Elmer, Cecil, Pond, Wheel Horse, , AMC, TORO, MTD, etc. 2

Racinbob 11,507 #23016 Posted Sunday at 03:07 PM I was too quick to post my starter swap. I took that picture then came inside for a few minutes and posted it. Then went back out to test it and take a ride out back. Oops! No engagement. I'm sure it's just a shim thing but now I have to remove the shroud. I made an assumption. 1

Wheelhorse#1 1,748 #23019 Posted Sunday at 11:36 PM Mounted a set of V61 Vredestein, put them on my 79 C-121 semi resto. They cost too much, but really seem to be nice rubbers with stiff sidewalls. Mounting them with hand tools was a challenge but managed with just a couple cuss words. What really helped was putting them in front of a heater for a wile. 3

TonyToro 1,097 #23021 Posted Sunday at 11:55 PM @TonyToro Jr. and I stripped down a Suburban. I was completely amazed that every bolt came loose without penetrating oil. Stripped it down in about 35 minutes to a bare frame. We need the front axle and he wants to use the front portion of the hood as decoration in his room. Not sure what we will do with the remaining pieces. If anyone needs pieces send me or him a message.

The mowing deck gears or covers may be of value to someone of they're solid.

stvski80085 79 #23025 Posted yesterday at 02:01 AM Got this painted with new pulleys and handle. Now I’m trying to figure out the mower deck wheel raising system. Thought I took pics but I guess not. Then took all apart and painted. The schematic doesn’t really help me figure it out. I need some good pics of the 65-36ms01 is the manual I have. It’s coming together though. 2
