What could be more on topic than designing and building a braking system to replace the poor factory Wheel Horse brakes or in this case the lack of any brakes. And this certainly highlights the simplicity and ease of working on these machines. 4 1

I'm probably the biggest clown spending too much time doing my comedy act. Oh, that reminds me. Ya know why the cannibal wouldn't eat the comedian? He was afraid he would taste funny. OutdoorEnvy 1,578 #22533 Posted December 13 Finally scored my next project! Was holding out for the single 16 Kohler of some variety in the 8 speed and patience finally paid off after a wash and oil rub down! I'll do a post after I get it going! Yeah the seat really sets the whole thing off and was the main selling point! I didn't realize we had an ugly seat thread... I never knew the seats came any other way those pokes in the rear keep you awake and alert so you don't fall off so I just assumed they came that way I might have to break down and get a really nice seat for this one as it will be the main user...

8ntruck 7,093 #22537 Posted December 13 Morgan the 14-8 got some exercise today doing cart work moving items between the house and the lake house. The 1 1/2" of snow on the ground did not bother him at all. The lake house is now shut down for the winter - water pipes blown out, antifreeze in the drain taps and the furnace, fridge, and stove shut down. It is facing west. I keep wondering if I could come up with some sort of passive solar to keep it semi warm during the winter. Have to do some research on that one.

Thanks for mentioning it. pulled the pan off and first thing see that the bottom gear is wobbly. Removed both gears, and reassembled. Fired up and ran decent, I got luck with this one! 1
Andy N. 2,183 #22539 Posted December 15 Busy weekend of replacing all the bearings and pulley's on the snowblower. Luckily I haven't needed it yet. Just waiting on the drive pulley to be delivered. Also scored a set of cast iron wheel weights about a month ago 30 minutes west of me. Got them installed on the 418-8. 4

C-145 still isn’t winter ready but will put the blower on this week However the C-121 has been ready since thanksgiving and has already been used twice this snow season. So once again used that. And got a pretty cool pic with it too IMG_0028.mov 7
