Actually Mrs K spent the day at her sisters with her 99yo Mother.        Left me home alone with no one to talk to but Red Square.    Glad you were listening Richard.   :)

I was going to congratulate @Ed Kennell for a smooth move to bring the thread back on subject.  Then i read the next 8 posts.....

:offtopic:

:confusion-shrug:            We probably should rename this thread to off topic judging from then majority of the responses generated over then years.             :ychain:

I have to disagree Richard.

What could be more on topic than designing and building a braking system to replace the poor factory Wheel Horse brakes or in this case the lack of any brakes.

And this certainly highlights the simplicity and ease of working on these machines.

No worries Richard.   I'm probably the biggest clown spending too much time doing my comedy act.      Oh, that reminds me.

Ya know why the cannibal wouldn't eat the comedian?

He was afraid he would taste funny.

                             Here I go again.   :text-yeahthat::offtopic:

Yeah the seat really sets the whole thing off and was the main selling point!  :occasion-snowman:  I didn't realize we had an ugly seat thread... I never knew the seats came any other way :dunno:  those pokes in the rear keep you awake and alert so you don't fall off so I just assumed they came that way :P

I might have to break down and get a really nice seat for this one as it will be the main user...

Morgan the 14-8 got some exercise today doing cart work moving items between the house and the lake house.  The 1 1/2" of snow on the ground did not bother him at all.

The lake house is now shut down for the winter - water pipes blown out, antifreeze in the drain taps and the furnace, fridge, and stove shut down.

It is facing west.  I keep wondering if I could come up with some sort of passive solar to keep it semi warm during the winter.  Have to do some research on that one.

Well worth taking a look at the balance gears.

I did just that. Thanks for mentioning it.

pulled the pan off and first thing see that the bottom gear is wobbly. Removed both gears, and reassembled.

Fired up and ran decent,

I got luck with this one!

By now I suspect we have a thread or series of :offtopic:posts on any subject under the sun!         :ychain:

I think it's reasonable to say that we are at the point where if we don't go off topic we are off topic by default by not going off topic.

Eric @ebinmaine, please do a new post with the spring part number and source. The "What have you done to your Wheel Horse" post doesn't come up most of the time when people do a search. If there is a topic titled CLUTCH SPRING people looking for one will be able to benefit from your information.    :text-thankyouyellow:
