In the meantime I noticed the shift knobs were wrecked no matter how much I scrubbed wire brush chemicals etc they still wouldn’t get clean. I’m too cheap to buy new. Used med grit sandpaper finished with 2500 . Now they are almost like new just need decals . I have too much time on my hands I guess or maybe just need help Shiny new balls !! I did the same thing on my 520-8 project. I used a piece of rod clamped into my drill press then screwed the knobs onto that and basically did the same thing you did. Knobs turned out great and since my tractors never sit outside they should stay looking good. 5

TonyToro Jr. 1,636 #22428 Posted November 30, 2024 Picked up a Brinley rear back blade and this afternoon put it to work! I put it on the c-145 with hydraulic lift and did some grading and leveling off in the woods were the water runs and it made a trench when we had heavy rain so I hooked the blade to the c-145 and did some grading around that corner. Look’s definitely a lot better than before! And got seat time! First time the c-145 has been run since I took the tiller off. IMG_9906.mov 1
Monstrosity 1,141 #22429 Posted November 30, 2024 Gave the diesel WH a break for December.. parked up for decoration. Is there a way to reseal the lift cylinder? I do not see a way to take it apart or is it cheaper to find a newer piston?? 9 3

Some cylinders are welded, and they can be rebuilt but it’s not easy. On my Bronco, I just bought one of the newer cylinders (like most all the classic series used) that can be disassembled and rebuilt. It’s very easy to do.

Also, @daveoman1966 has instructions somewhere on here to ADD a seal to the end. 8 hours ago, kpinnc said: , I just bought one of the newer cylinders (like most all the classic series used) that can be disassembled and rebuilt. WHGuy413 2,757 #22433 Posted November 30, 2024 It’s plow time here. Both boys are set up. Wheelhorse_kid’s c-121 and his older brothers 856. Watching my older son and his friend put the weights chains and plow on today was pretty comical. He wants to plow hes Gotta set it up like his little brother 😂 9

Usually I fight for them for a while. 34 minutes ago, adsm08 said: Chains ain't so bad. It's the dog turds that really get me. Wheelhorse_kid drove across the lawn and hit some the night we went to do his chains. That put the kibosh to that til he got them washed out. I pick them up but he always seems to find a pile I missed.

Bar Nuthin 674 #22438 Posted December 1, 2024 The town is behind on leaf pickup so I'm working closer and closer to traffic. I decided to add a wig-wag flasher. Now to decide if I want to do something on the back. 5

The current crop of drivers won't move over an inch.

I put the snow blade on the other day to push them off of my grass. There is a lot of truck traffic that continuously blows them back into my yard. The town usually makes a pass through once or twice a week. I have no idea what their issues are this year. Been about 4 weeks. Next time I put my blade on, the stack is getting moved to the center lane!

Achto 27,864 #22442 Posted December 1, 2024 @Monstrosity, love your display. Last year my wife asked me to light up a tractor for the Christmas season, of course she ask me this like 4 days before Christmas. This year I took the initiative to get an early start on her request. Took the better part of the day to get it done, but I'm happy with it. Gave me the itch to add more next year. 3 6

TonyToro Jr. 1,636 #22449 Posted December 3, 2024 Hooked my newly acquired 48” plow to my c-121. Changed the plug and put chains on it. 2-4” forecasted for Wednesday into Thursday. We’ll see 🤞 F9814B34-E3EA-469B-9CDA-BA41430F878A.mov 1
ML3 1,339 #22450 Posted December 4, 2024 Plowing duty for the 654. Snow was heavy. More snow predicted Wednesday night thru Friday. That little tractor can really push snow. However, with my ongoing back issues I may need to consider a hydro, especially for the lift. I do like the smaller size of a short frame tractor & like the looks of a round hood. As I've said before (when I get more storage room- new shed) I still wanna go 520 w/2 stage for the heavy duty work. VID_20241203_152541.mp4 1
