We've also found them to be different lengths and unusable on certain tractors.

I've noticed that. I happened to find the loop and clevis together and swapped the whole thing. Just had to make sure it wasn't for a wobble mount engine. :)

just had to do some stress testing.

Jusy be very careful on inclines. Even good working Wheel Horse brakes are dangerously inadequate when moving a heavy load.

Nice job on the hitch. I did the same with mine- integrating the belly hitch so the load is spread out more. Also it can't flip up, which is helpful when pushing.

Yeah, I don’t plan on hauling many heavy load on the front. I usually run a lower gear on hills and let the machine slow it self down.

pushed the clutch in and freewheeled to the bottom before realizing the brakes were useless.

One of my cousins did that when he was about nine or ten years old.  His dad bought him a green garden tractor and cart to play around with. my uncle screwed a plate over the shift pattern to prevent him from using anything but first and reverse. My cousin loaded his brothers and sister in the cart and went for a drive, when he got to the top of a hill he pushed in the clutch and let her rip. By the time he got to the bottom of the hill everyone had bailed-out of the cart and the brakes sent him sideways into a ditch. No one was hurt and they were able to get the 110 back on the lawn and everyone changed their grass-stained clothes before their dad got home. They all kept this little secret for years and then brought it up when my cousin turned 21 and everyone started ragging on him and all the mischievous things he had done as a kid.

Finished up the 108-5 today. Got the belt on, new tubes in the rear tires, new spark plug and oil changed. Got the deck patched and reinstalled.  Cleaned it all up a little. Everything now works really good. See if I can find a new owner for it.

@Ed Kennell   did some tandem lawn spiker  work today , over 100 lb  of weight on each spiker , been doing a lot of that lately , taking advantage of the rain , the birds also like it  !  like a food fest out there . also have trailer ball hitch mounts on all my  attachments ,  years ago came to the , why not   just have 1 common easy hitch ?  always criss  cross , that towing , opening up any cutting past track . pete

@Lane Ranger  another thing that stands out on your cutting , is the MAINTIANCE CUTTING  , that you are  doing , notice no pile / build up in grass discharge ? thats what I do , and also chris cross my  cutting , to enhance growth . used a 36 " deck for years , now been using 42 R/D  decks on my 3  .  stay after it , pete

C120 "Special"

Sold 1974 and 75 only.

Interesting beasts because they're not very common.
