Ed Kennell 38,178 #20604 Posted January 17 I warm up all my Eaton 1100 hydros before using, but these cold 10F temps really exaggerate the differences. My 312H and 417A will lift on start up. The 520H will not lift for 5-6 minutes.

She still prefers her smaller lighter 6 speeds with Limited Slip Differential and ease of steering. That said, she sees the value in the bug C160 Automatic Beast with its 60" wide blade. I've been mulling doing a Power Angle on the plow for awhile. Maybe sooner than later. That blade isn't getting any lighter. 1

Only got to try it 1x so far & it was really wet heavy snow so it struggled. I really need a 2stage & hydro- mostly for lift. The manual lift for heavy blower is too hard on my bad back.

ML3 1,203 #20610 Posted January 18 Did a little plowing today after I got home from work. Predicting a significant snow event starting tonight going thru Saturday afternoon. General snow followed up with lake effect snow. Single mom lives next door. Her son is 9. There's no father figure around. He was shoveling driveway. I went over & asked if he wanted to plow w/tractor? He lit up & said "SURE!" He could just reach the clutch. He isn't strong enough to lift the plow. He did really good. He immediately figured out clutch/brake. Set idle lower & just had him use reverse & 1st. I lowerd & raised plow for him. I told his mom if I can find a cheap tractor I'd work on it w/him & he could have it. In garage making sure equipment is ready & of course having a few beers too! 3992.mp4 1 14
TonyToro Jr. 1,427 #20611 Posted January 19 Got to get my C-145 out with the plow and haul horse poop!! Then took it out after with the lights on for a little ride. I had the plow on my 310-8 but that is out of commission for now and I don’t really use my blower often so I thought I would treat myself with a hydro and hydraulic lift for a plow tractor! Ed Kennell 38,178 #20612 Posted January 19 I had to make room for a couple new horses, so I moved this one on down the road today. I bought her at auction in 2017 with a 48" SD and used her for mowing for 6 years. Her new job will be pushing cars in and out of an auto repair business.....nice cushy retirement duty. 5
Wheelhorse#1 1,664 #20613 Posted January 19 (edited) Found the culprit, starter crapped out on the B80 all the sudden. Have no idea how long it was cracked …..guess someone didn’t read the warning sticker But beat on it instead 😆 Good news looks like one peace only.Should be able to epoxy back in and clean up ! Should be fairly easy because I've never actually said anything bad about you..... 3

SylvanLakeWH 25,561 #20618 Posted January 19 (edited) Ugh... Plowing with the C-105 and all of a sudden the blade starts swinging free... Rear 3/4" cross pin sheared off... Old blade and obvious PO repair finally gave up to rust / stress... On the hunt for some hardened 3/4" and a couple shaft collars... All not lost. E-141 finished up the 3 drives i do quietly and efficiently...! Edited January 19 by SylvanLakeWH 8

Would 3/4" threaded work in a pinch? Just use washers and nylon lock nuts? Probably need to order cold rolled online... 1 hour ago, Tonytoro416 said: That has to be something to see there Snow being pushed no noise being made It is quite nice...! Depending on how the threads are put on, you may have to grind the ends to get it through the hole in the plow frame. Orange big box maybe an option. Local hardware supply. McMaster Car I'm sure would have something. 1
D_Mac 8,619 #20624 Posted January 19 Been snowing all day here. Just got home from work and got some seat time in plowing the driveway. 875 did not even work up a sweat pushing the white stuff around. We got about 6 inches. I get to do it again tomorrow !!! 10
SylvanLakeWH 25,561 #20625 Posted January 20 Back up and running with 3/4" threaded rod... No cold rolled around local... Gonna see how this holds up. For $15 it's doing the trick... 4
