Colby G 233 #20453 Posted December 20, 2023 (edited) I found a tag on my hydro with a model and serial number on it. I don't know how to decide the numbers to tell what tractor it came off of tho. If someone knows anything about what tractor this hydro transmission comes off of, please tell me. All I know is that it's a sunstrand and it has a double d shaft off the hydro pump. The model number is 90-2070 Edited December 20, 2023 by Colby G

Way ahead of you, during my reaserch I came across that post. But i didn't know for sure if it was a gt-14 or not, I wanted others opinion on the matter, and if the pulley posted earlier in the conversation would fit it. Maybe a reason it can‘t be found somewhere, a rarely use of this Sundstrand Gearbox for commercial application or special gear ratings ( lower or higher endpeeds i.eg) Just a thought

gt14rider 765 #20464 Posted December 21, 2023 You should ask Rich if he would measure the pulley double d hole, and you should measure your shaft, then see if rich wants to sell that pulley, please and thank you.
Colby G 233 #20465 Posted December 21, 2023 Well if he is willing to sell it, I'd like to know if I could use it for sure, My transmission seems to be pretty rare...

I would sell the pulley. Shoot me a pm and we’ll talk about it. As far as a tag, I do not have my transmission any more as I converted it to the Eaton 1100, even more rare in a GT14. 3
METAL BENDER 25 #20467 Posted December 23, 2023 While mulching leaves today and collecting wood I blew the head gasket on the 312-h. She was running great all year until the last few weeks it seemed to be lacking power a bit. I was putting it off as I wanted to service it for the winter here in Va over the holidays . I like to give her a good cleaning first but it has been so cold I have been putting it off. I checked the oil last week and all was well but now it is jet black so I think the gasket was blown for a few hours leaking internally then it gave out today. The motor has been worked before as the clearance on my plug to the piston top is so close I am using a short tail plug so I think I'm going to need a new head . A new head on an old motor could cause more problems down the road unless I rebuild the whole motor. However, this is an opportunity to look into a new engine and keep this for parts ?! I haven't had a nice Christmas gift from Santa in years lol. Any advice on a good m12 Kohler 476 cc gas 1-cylinder new engine? So far they are all discontinued so what should I be looking for. I would like to buy one that is as close to just bolting up and going as possible so any advice would be appreciated thanks and Happy Holidays, everyone.

Or now that I look at it, loosen the middle nut and rotate the eye-wire-end thing a bit.
WHX?? 48,845 #20473 Posted December 24, 2023 It wasn't the fuel sender wires Mark it was the wires feeding the tail lights. The fuel sender wires are well below the fender pan support. Could be tie wrapped a little better tho.
OoPEZoO 525 #20474 Posted December 24, 2023 Tire swapping time today for the 522xi. Out with the old stock dry rotted tires and on with the 26x12x12 Kenda Terra Tracs and a leftover set of 20x8x8 Carlisle Turf Masters for the front. They all fit great with no mods. I was a little worried about those Kendas fitting under the rear fender, but there is plenty of clearance without raising the tub. I still want to fill them with fluid, but that is not a December in PA project. Beyond that, here is a PSA.......if you ever decide it is a good idea to use tire slime and it is NOT a life or death emergency situation, there is a special place in hell for you. Patch it, plug it, tube it, but please don't slime it. Damn I hate that crap. It was in 3/4 of the tires I swapped today and it was everywhere by the time I was done. My garage looked like someone flung spoonfuls of neon green mayonnaise all over the place. I also took the time to swap from lug bolts over to studs and lug nuts. That is something I should have done 20yrs ago on my other tractor. I'm happy with the results. 4
19richie66 17,508 #20475 Posted December 24, 2023 Lug studs are the first modification that should be done to a tractor. Should be a rule somewhere. 1
