8ntruck 6,998 #19327 Posted June 23, 2023 I went out today and got a new digital VOM. It has much better resolution than my old analog unit. Rolled Clyde out of the shed, checked his battery at 12.7 v not running and at 13.9 v running WOT. Charging system appears to be working - since I plugged the voltage regulator back in. I also scratched up a brace for his new stack. I did a little bit of mowing yesterday and had to stop once to tighten up the clamp between the stack pipe and manifold.

Desko 608 #19331 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) Went to the big show *Friday and picked up a really nice tiller and some other parts. I also grabbed a new friction disc for the 520 because the old one looked like it had grease on it at one point or another. I tried cleaning it when I rebuilt the engine but the 60" deck would still cause it to slip and it really wasn't grabbing on that much area. Sparky-(Admin) 21,315 #19332 Posted June 25, 2023 Seeing all the tub carts doing work at the WHS motivated me to dig my tub cart outa my shed and show it some love. Had to fire up 3 tractors to move em outside to get to the cart. Well the 315-8 shot out a ton of debris when she fired up. So the cart will have to wait while I deal with this. Partly my fault as the two Tom-Cat poison bait traps were empty and probably have been for awhile. Lesson learned!! 4

Replacement was a good idea. Is the PTO bell verified flat?

Replacement was a good idea. Is the PTO bell verified flat? Yes it is with just checking with a square. But if it still does slips I will have to chuck it in the lathe and cut it to be 100% that it's flat

8ntruck 6,998 #19338 Posted June 25, 2023 I got Clyde's hour meter cleaned up a bit and finished up scratch building the missing battery hold down bolt. Got the meter reinstalled and the battery is no longer rockin' and rollin' when Clyde goes to work. 2

Wheel-N-It 2,968 #19341 Posted June 26, 2023 (edited) Installed AG's all the way around on the 753 I bought from Paul Dicken at The Big Show 2022 I've had the rear wheels and Carlisle's for several years (bought them at the big show), the front wheels and matching Carlisle's I bought Thursday at the Big show from a guy named Randy. Thank you Randy if you read this. Next upgrade will be a stack and a flippy cap. Not sure if I want to do wheel weights or not. This is just a ride around tractor. ccs002 75 #19345 Posted June 26, 2023 I stuck the blade I got at the big show on the 550 and put it to work on the driveway. I'm very impressed with how well it works. The driveway is normally a job for the mid mount grader on one of my bigger horses but this works nearly as well. And the tecumseh chugged (and smoked) along so well that it earned an oil change. 4

Wheel-N-It 2,968 #19349 Posted June 27, 2023 Today was my last day of vacation so I took the opportunity to install the 520 wheels with Carlisle AG's that I bought from Scott at the Big Show, and put them on the 1991 312-8 that I bought new in April 1991. Over the years I have upgraded the tractor with a M14 Kohler, 8" front wheels and tires, an high back seat from Northern Tool, and a rear lift for tiller use. Jay made a stainless steel muffler heat shield, and the rear wheel weights you see here are from my Grandfather's Simplicity two wheel walk behind garden tractor that he bought new back in the 1950's. I hope you like what I did today and what I've done to the tractor so far. Also one more pic of the 753 (next to my 2500HD Silverado) that I bought from John's Dad (Paul) last year. I enjoy seeing that little 753 next to my lifted truck with 20" wheels LOL 8 7
