Just a few too many PO cobblements for my flavor. It prolly could have been done tho but she's woulda been a project fer sure. No idea what condition the hydro was in either. Was a tractor that was given to Dan and I by a tractor buddy. F plate was reworked but done tastefully. Lower hood stand the same in the usual spot.

Is that motion lever one that’s made by a member on the club? Or did you make the motion lever? That would really help @TonyToro Jr. driving his C-145. Thank you sir! That shift lever knob extension deal is something Trina made up for me. It's a seasoned piece of striped maple. When we're camping she absolutely loves to sit by the fire of an evening and whittle on a stick that later turns out to be a walking stick. We have 15 or 20 of them around the house. I told her what I was looking to do as far as angle and length. She selected one of her walking sticks and cut the piece out. Drilled the bottom at the angle I wanted. Sanded it all down and put several coats of poly on it. It's held on by a dab of JB Weld epoxy. You and Junior tell me what you want and I bet I can get her to make one up for you. 1
Wheelhorse#1 1,657 #18459 Posted February 21, 2023 Time to purty up the refreshed 301 .Every-time I do one of these, I tell myself, leave it the way it is. But the force is too strong ! 🤪 Once the tins are complete I’ll go through the Starter Gen. 7 7 1

tmix61 81 #18461 Posted February 21, 2023 It all started 6 weeks ago. Was plowing and seeing hydraulic fluid on the ground oh no what happened. The d200 was pushing snow like mad then all of a sudden I see a trail of hydraulic fluid as I'm backing up oh no back to the garage. Found the case on the run was broken open from the inside low and behold. A boat that loose inside and got caught around the bull gear and the housing lost got it apart did I mention it's a 1977 so it's been together for a long time got the hubs off broke one had to order a new used hub got it apart needed a set of needle bearings in one side ordered gasket put it back together and it leaked not in the same spot on one of the gaskets that had never been taken apart take it apart put gasket sealer on and we're all better. The weld is holding up great. Decided to make a 2-in receiver because I used the ball hitch to put my weights on before and everybody told me bad move so after doing a little research and figuring I made my own now we have the weights on there securely all said and done thanks to the members and transmission forum for all the help and shining light on what was wrong with the inside yes of course a boat broken side grade 5 should have been grade 8 now updated these are a few pictures of my fun time 6

Most would have given up and that machine would have been scrapped. Your repair looks solid! Nice fab on the hitch too. Looks bulletproof! Wheelhorse#1 1,657 #18463 Posted February 21, 2023 The D200 is one machine I’m hopeful to find in my budget range. So far no luck.Guess I’m just too cheap! Nice job on the repair.

WHGuy413 2,683 #18466 Posted February 21, 2023 Haven’t been out in the garage much the last few weeks. Picked the kids up and got home. @WheelHorse_Kid wanted to work on the B-80 4 speed that someone did a trans swap on to an 8 speed. We are debating about using this as the tractor that has our loader on it. Overall it’s in good shape. While he took the snow plow, home made weight bracket and plow bracket off I worked on my friends c-105. I really hate this tractor. Give me anything from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. I evicted the mouse nest around the whole fly wheel a few weeks ago put the engine shroud back on and tried cranking it over and it is super sluggish even with the plug out. Guess I need to figure that issue out. Not sure if it could be the starter. It’s sat outside for years so could be about anything. I have Thursday and Friday off this week. I will probably try to get some time in there to work on it. Really want it gone. It’s taking up critical space lol.

WHGuy413 2,683 #18468 Posted February 23, 2023 (edited) Dad to the rescue. Alex aka @WheelHorse_Kid had to clean the carburetor on his 604 yesterday while I was at work. I think we are running into a fuel line issue but that will get swapped out. In the process he texts me and says the governor arm is sticking and making it stay at full throttle. He sent me some pics and it wasn’t until the last one I saw the error to his ways. In the process of putting things back together he bent the governor arm at a 90 causing the rod to be significantly shorter. Fast forward to this morning I tried to assist him by carefully bending and twisting it back. But sure enough I broke it. To the work bench I went and found a small piece of mechanics wire and used my vise a pair of pliers and a hammer and punch and bent a new one. Shockingly it worked great and him and his brother plowed with the 604 and the 856. He didn’t put the hood back on to plow because he doubted my fix (let’s face it so did I)but after plowing for 1 1/2hours it was still running perfectly fine. Tonytoro416 1,034 #18471 Posted February 24, 2023 Finally got my front wheel weights painted and put on. Was waiting for bolts from bolt depot. Pennies on the dollar compared to my local hardware store. Thanks to EB for that website 7

They've been great to deal with as well as fantastic pricing. Their grade 8 is nearly the same price as grade 5. I keep a decent selection of grade 8 bolts from 1/4-20 x 1/2 to 3/8-16 x 2. What little they charge for freight is more than compensated in the hardware savings. 1
GAJoe 844 #18473 Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) My c-160 input belt idler pully is in good shape but the bearing is dry; smooth but dry. As you can see I tried drilling out the spot welds but the halves are fused I guess by induction welding as another has stated. I took a large syringe from the local farm supply and took the sharp tip off of the needle. I found that the seal on the side of the bearing is just thin rubber. I really did a number on that seal with the 1/16" dia needle. It's about half gone. I should have left the sharp point on the needle to make a small hole in the seal. Any way I was able to fill the bearing with Lucas Red that I has loaded. I'm thinking that it'll probably stay fairly clean and not loose the grease very fast considering that it's behind the sheet metal. It beats buying a new one and will probably last as long as I need it to. It spins smoothly now without the dry bearing noise. . kpinnc 12,017 #18474 Posted February 27, 2023 Finished up the rear hitch I'm building for a friend. Looking back, it would have been faster to just buy the thing, but I decided to just build it. Best I could do from memory. It'll be good enough. 4
