Finally putting on the 48" snow plow. So every thing is ready for the snow they say we have coming. Doesn't sound like much.

You can come to Buffalo with me this weekend when they get a foot +++! :)

Medical day today.  Ran my wife to the doctor this morning for labs, had my 6 month check up right after lunch, then lost three cribbage games to my wife as we were watching the snow fall.  Lots by skunk on two consecutive games - the chances of that happening are very, very slim.  Couldn't believe it happened.

Then, I braved the dark and cold horse shed and got the new 5 ribs and freshly painted wheels mounted on Clyde the C-195. They look 'right'.  Pictures to follow once the weather gets a little nicer.

Agreed.

Me n Trina and her mom play cribbage at least twice a week.

Trina and I believe that when her mom is wearing long sleeves she prints up whatever cards she needs.

I love me some cribbage. I play against my dad and brother in law.

I didn’t get anything accomplished today. At some point Friday I hurt my knee. Was fine til the middle of the night and then no sleep happened. Thought I was getting better but today walking was a whole new adventure in pain. Went to my doc who checked me out. Sent me for blood work to determine if I have Lyme or anything else going on and x-rays.  I didn’t get any snow stuff on tractors like I had planned. If we get to much Aiden and Alex are going to have to figure it out without me. Hopefully it doesn’t stick around.

Heal well.

On the Lyme test don't get to trusting on the results. That's a tough disease to see sometimes.

LOTS of incorrect test results.

Just have the kids toss their own plows on. They'll figure it out.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

I have no doubt that Alex would handle putting a plow on. Tire chains on the other hand he hasn’t mastered that. Heck neither have I. Thankfully we didn’t really get anything snow wise. If it keeps raining today I’m sure it will be gone.

I've been around garden tractors my whole life.

Just got our own Herd a few years ago.

I've installed or removed chains maybe a dozen times.

I think it's fair to say I may never master them.

Glad I didn't waste my time, I wouldn't have gone that high on a hard steering tractor with some missing and worn out parts.

Spent the day serving the 16 Auto, greasing all moving parts and pieces. Changed the oil and checked the Hydro for fluid level.

This tractor is a dedicated snow blower and only gets used this time of year.

Then moved on to the Ç160 that's the plow tractor. I had already serviced it when I took the deck off.  So I put the weights and chains on and swapped the front wheels for the set with roller chains. Finally putting on the 48" snow plow. So every thing is ready for the snow they say we have coming. Doesn't sound like much.

That's a fine looking pair of snow machines right there. The C160 is on my must have list.Question @rjg854 what type of chain are you using for the front tire ?and are they effective ?thx

I'm using #40 roller chain, the same chain that's on the snow blower.  I changed that chain and repurposed it on the front wheels. It quite effective, it's like your riding on rails. Keeps the front end from sliding sideways when plowing snow. I don't have concrete or paving so marking up them isn't a problem.

Estate sale in Roswell GA - decided to take vacay early and make a trip - guy is/was a hoarder of things industrial - tools and toys. How do people collect so much stuff? Atari 2600, Radio Shack TRS-80. He had an Onan gen - could have powered a street. I wanted one of the old Army twin diesels but they were asking $400 - two nicely restored. Old JD 3HP hit and miss but $2K. A worn 3HP Briggs for $100? Are they crazy? I got one years ago with the original copper over spray on the plug for $15. Is this some post Wuhan pricing? Low and behold, a '71 K241AS off a JD 110 - nice and clean for $75 so I now have a little K to play with. Worth every penny - even with that JD front screen. I'll have it running before the weekend. What to do with it??? Make it into a K301? That diesel would have been a fun one.

Anyone want an old Yanmar tractor with bucket and 3 point? Couldn't find the price but probably not the bargain you'd expect. Comes with a deck, too. 25% off tomorrow. estatesales.net

HaHa - hate taking pics and my flip phone is not a joy. The company phone can send but through Outlook which - this time - didn't work. I'll take a video of it putt-putting. That'll be fun. First, the old Ridgid drill press gets its facelift. I've pulled about 5 lbs of dirt dauber nests from it so far (was just given to me).
