I need the next piece downstream from that pipe.  However, if that piece is in your way, I won't mind putting it in my inventory, as KT parts are rather rare.

I'd be glad to send it to you.

It isn't a piece I can see us using on our herd.

PM me when you get a minute...

Put the plow on Black Betty yesterday and wheel weights too.

Now if we ever get some snow around here this winter :scratchead: I’ll be ready.

I still have to take the cutoff wheel to those bolts are bit too long.

BTW -anyone have a cheaper alternative for light lens’s cover. The original  are a bit pricey!

They can be bought online occasionally between 35 and 45 dollars. Sometimes more. You can also check with @Wheel Horse 3D Grey to see what his options are.

@Monstrosity & @ebinmaine about the fuel line.. you could try and look at more racing oriented fuel line. In some motorsports they use pure methanol as fuel which also has to travel from tank to carb through a hose.

Might pay a bit more but it also might save you some leaks :twocents-02cents:

The line I use is 100% alcohol compatible. I can also see through it which is the main reason I actually switched over to it in the first place.

Given the current availability of ethanol gas, its past 2 decades of widespread usage, and the fact that it appears we'll have it for a long time to come...

I believe we've reached a point that fuel lines/tubes/hoses are now a maintenance item like a spark plug.

As to your lack of availability for that ¼ fuel line, I can understand that because stores stock what sells. Less and less people are DIY  so there's little reason to keep stock on uncommon items.

I keep our own mini parts dept here. We use the clear blue ish hose sold by stens or others.

fleeeBay has it by the foot or roll.

YES & YES @ebinmaine you're spot on with buying when you find it and stocking up, we have a NAPA and let me tell you trying to get stuff is like pulling teeth!!

My local (to work) store is a pretty wicked catch 22.

It is, literally, a warehouse for Napa.

That's good.

The challenge is that the parts industry in this area at least, has become an entry level job. Starting pay. Lack of training.

I've actually had a NAPA part IN MY HANDS at the counter and had them tell me they don't have it...

Lucky for us we have the

 @squonk-meister.

Thor27... a member named Doc from kentucky used to make and sell those re-pop foot pedal kits.  i have not seen him on RS in a long time. i still have one of his kits on my shelf.

what part did you need to bend?  someday i would like to try it out.

matt's kit works on the eatons.  not the older sundstrands.   matt developed his kit on an older sundstrand equipped 'C' series. then adapted i to fit eatons.  i bought that tractor years ago and gave it to my buddy harry.  harry just rebuilt the engine this past summer and uses it to mow regularly. he loves it.

have you used both pedals. (re-pop and matt's)   pros/cons???  your thoughts please

also, i still would like to try the Ed Kennell idea.

Used the 314/8 with recycling mower to mulch up the remaining g leaves in my front lawn!    Took me about thirty minutes and did a great job!  I have been doing this the last three years at the end of the city leaf pickup 0rocess.

It helps feed the lawn through the winter and the wheel horse makes it an easy job!

I used plexiglass and made a face frame out of leather on mine.

Thanks for the info Mike,  The 1/2" rod that goes from the hydro control to the pedal, it looks like it had rotated incorrectly when setting up the bend at the front, it should have a slight down angle, but mine kicked out to the side. it has to go straight fore-aft for the clevis to work.  Would have been an easy fix if i wasn't an idiot.

I am a  fan of Doc's work here as you have to look pretty close to see any difference in the two.  Wheel horse made the bend a bit tighter on the back of that rod, I'm sure it was just difference in the bender/dies used, Doc's rod is threaded just a bit longer, and the pins that locate the pedal are longer. Side by side they are nearly identical.  Too early to say if I like it in use, hope to find out soon, but it sure is big.

I have one of Matt's kit on another tractor and I love it.  He incorporated a return to neutral in his that the original style doesn't.  I wanted to get 2 more of Matt's kits, but he was in between batches, when these came along..

I'm only 28 but been in the parts business for 12 years. I once tryed hiring a guy that had 5 years experience at the leprechaun franchise. His first day a guy comes in looking for a tune up kit on a 8n, they guy looks at me with confusion and I told him to grab the echlin book and look it up, he turn looks at me says "I dont know how too look up pats in a book we only used computers at my last job we" I was dumbfounded but i knew then why entry level parts counter men are under payed. No one looks at it as an important job anymore.

Sad but true my friend.

At my first Auto Parts job in 1992 we had an 11 ft catalog rack on one side of the counter and 9 ft on the other.

Most of that was duplicate books but not all of it.

That didn't count the system for mixing paint at all, either.

We had computers for invoicing of course and the infancy of a parts lookup program which I think was Triad at the time.

Once you got used to it you could be reasonably efficient but we still preferred using the old style things. Books. I'm pretty sure that's what they were called. Made out of paper.

Back when I first started we used microfiche to look at the formulas to mix paint.

Search for it. Terms like: motion control, pedal, spring, neutral, reverse, and Ed's RS handle will help.
