What have you done to your Wheel Horse today?

Well all I did was start it up and drive it up and down the street. I still can't believe how nice it runs and drives given its history.

Looks like it's gonna need a seat Tom.  I know a guy that's got a dandy and same patina to boot.

Went n done some drivin around today.

Started out in beautiful Hiram Maine.

Headed across NH and VT to Bennington.

Left turn into Massachusetts. Hung a right over into NY State.

Stopped off at @Herder Adam's place. Picked up a 1974 C160 Tecumsehorse and some other treasures including a 6 speed for another of Trina's tractors.

Got some delicious cookies from Mrs. Herder.

Picked up the neighbors Murray rider and lawn sweep. Had to tow it over with the B-80.

Also tested out the lawn sweep on some leaves. Not perfect, but super fun to use. Works well enough for me.

Also discovered my keys are scratching up my paint. Not a big deal, kind of a bummer though. So Im probably gonna put some diamond plate there and do the same on the other side to balance it out.

I know what you mean. We are surrounded by trees here... and mowing leaves has been difficult with all the dust. When I mow, it literally looks like a desert dust storm.

AND I come into the house looking like I was spray painted with tan spray paint from head to toe from the dust... which I'm sure you can imagine makes the female lady women have healthy thoughts towards me... :deadhorse:

[this is twice now that I've typed a message and forgot to click "Submit".  I think this is still funny though. This happened again yesterday, because of all the "hitchhikers" and burrs I picked up in the field. It's going to take a long time to pick all those off my clothes.  )

I am often required to undress on the back porch and proceed directly to the shower. At least my wife is kind and brings me a towel to wrap around me so I'm not coming in buck naked.  If it were just her, I wouldn't mind, but our son would probably have nightmares.

Ut oh, hadn't thought of that.  I haven't *seen* any bigfoots around here, but I think that's how it usually works - they see you but you don't see them. :D

BTW, I have a sticker that says "Bigfoot doesn't believe in YOU either!"  :laughing-rofl:

Never heard it called that, but I've seen setups like that several times.  Growing up on a horse farm, we always had a shower stall in the basement (but no toilet) to clean up after working on the farm before entering the living areas of the house. Washer and dryer were right next to the shower, which was convenient.

We don't have a basement here, so I can't set something like that up now. But we do still have an outhouse, which I use on a regular basis. That doesn't help with the dirty clothes but it helps in other VERY significant ways... :occasion-clown:

Through on the decals, and attached my “key guards” for the fenders

Think over all it turned out decent. Wish the paint was a little more durable though. Could be its just not fully cured, but its been weeks now. Is what it is.

Working on that International Cub I picked up mid summer. Considering having that powder coated, cause Its getting colder, and to be honest the sandblasting was miserable work.

So mainly Im gonna have that done, then see how much to powder coat. If the price is right, and it turns out well, I might just have the B-80 tins powder coated if the paint does not hold up well enough.

What did you use for paint?

How long exactly has it been?

Any hardener?

Rustoleum Implement IH red, over Rustoleum Implement Red Oxide primer.

The frame parts, Rustoleum oil based from a pour can, over Rustoleum Implement red Oxide Primer.

The tins its been 2 and 1/2 weeks.

The frame parts, some has been painted for well over a month.

I did use Hardener. And maybe thats the problem. Couldn’t say.

Can't comment specifically on that paint type.

I know when we use Rust-Oleum 2X spray paint it takes a full 2 months or more to anywhere near cure.
