So, they are factory.   How about this trunnion on the right front of the frame.   I'm  sure it's not factory, but I wonder what it was used for.

Hole is there but no Trunnion. I think the mowing deck mount used that hole.

WHX??

Added some bling bling to Alice just for S&Gs. VHT paint.

She also had a broken leg so a new seal & hub. Worse hub I  ever saw. I don't think I'm even going to try and broach it. Out to the magic parts shed for a replacement. Check out the original filter!

I drained the diesel that has been soaking in the tranny for 2 weeks.    It didn't look too bad.   Probably flush again after I have it driving.

Are these spindle gussets factory Richard?  @953 nut

Those spindles look just like the ones I had on the 953 and momma’s 2054. I do believe they are factory.

Put a new carb on the 16 horse magnum and runs like a champ. Only thing is now the throttle lever keeps working it's way back down and I have to keep pushing it back up or hold it there when cutting grass. Had no issues before changing out the carb. Not sure what's causing this??

You doing a brown seat on her Craig? I see the diamond stitching. That would look good. Maybe I missed your plans for it. Definitely looks better now than what you started with.

So I’ve seen bits and pieces of this excellent seat project, but inquiring minds want to know ……..what it’s going to be installed on

Nothing like that on any of mine, perhaps a flanged bushing was inserted into the axle to tighten it up.

Just pulled this tractor from my late father-in-law's barn and got it running and cleaned up. 1980-81 with an 8 horse Brigg's motor. In fantastic condition.

Anyone have any idea of it's value?

Thanks

@jefftheref :text-welcomeconfetti: southerly neighbor!  That is more of a lawn tractor than the garden tractors we favor for the most part on this site.  That being said, it is much higher quality than any new crap sold of recent that is similar size.  As for value?  More in your garage put to use, than in your pocket for spending.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

:text-yeahthat: :WRS: Jeff

Like Kev says couple of hundred tops ... better to mow your own lawn with. Better yet put a kid on it and send him out in the neighborhood for pocket money. Does look to be in nice shape.

Picked up a 48" plow from @ebinmaine over the weekend, solid unit other then some lower blade rust so i paired the rust and ordered some new decals from @Vinylguy like i do any of my projects big or small and got a part or 2 from wheelhorsepartsandmore. So woth some new paint decals and parts this plow will be as good as new. Somthing ive wanted for sometime now so looking forward to trying it out on my 314-8.

I used to have two decks, a 36"sd and a 36" rd.          The sd rusted out, so I converted the rd to a sd and switched the ID tags.
