Could you share the link for that kit if possible?

The kit I bought is no longer available.

Prices have gone up as with many things lately.

fleeeBay shows a kit for just under $80.

If I was going to buy them today I'd order these 2 things.

Total about $90.

I've had good luck with this company so far.

You need two of each kit, of course! :)

Front wheel size really suits the tractor. with Ag’s on the rear, it’ll really stand out. I’ve just picked up two 7.00 x 14 and two 6.00 x 14 Firestone Ag’s, brand new with six stud wheels. Cost £35.00. From local vintage sale, now need to machine some adaptors, or weld in new centres, (or make some new hubs). Also fabricated a 3pt setup to mount a “Slug Pelleter” / “Fertiliser- Grass seed broadcaster”, (another local sale purchase, £15.00), to my C121.

While on my way home from a supply run in the next town over, I saw a late 60's square hood sitting in a front yard.  No engine and a sign saying $200.  Was on a time line, so I didn't stop.  Gut reaction was that was kind of optimistic.

That was just a bit high unless it had four extra good tires.

Thanks! So now I'm positive everything is working as it should. It pulled a 18"x32" ground roller full of water about 300lbs with no issue at idle. Still need to figure out why parking brake lever won't move, need correct belt and need to change oils ASAP. Straight 30w is what the engine calls for right? And what is automotive type "A" automatic trans fluid can I use dex/merc fluid as I have atleast a case of that?

Probably not going to being using much more after this just want to get PTO put together and all routing pulleys for snow thrower and mowing deck just so I can repaint everything together. I have a small decrepit trailer with 5 lug hubs that may fit this!  @ebinmaine

Fixed the ditch against the wall and leveled the pitch going to the wall. Pulled it upgrade with ease!

Not much way to check that transmission with out an engine. If they blew up the engine you have to assume they may have trashed the transmission.

Excellent to see that ole rig working!

Be aware that these engines are air cooled and splash oil lubed.

The ONLY time they should be at idle is just before shut down.

Also, the hydro transmission is air cooled.

ALL driving/operating/working should be ¾ to full throttle.

Can you show a pic of the transmission fluid you're asking about?

I'm assuming it is a roller.  If true, and if it is a gear jammer, I should be able to push it around in all of the gears.

@ebinmaine - didn't think about it being a 6 speed.  That's a limited slip, if I remember correctly.

Did a Google search it's the same fluid. If the fluid is DEXRON III compatible it is TYPE A compatible as well. So DEX/MERC is good fluid to use.

I'm just going off the service manual.

All I'm saying it's only worth what you can see.

Yup.  The fair price is the one that the seller and buyer agree upon.

Both correct.

Manual transmission Horses are usually savable or rebuildable.

Check the COLOR of the fluid in your own transmission.

It would have been ATF to start.

There was/is a changeover point to engine oil by the mid 70s.

Folks have been known to flush/fill with the oil.

They can't be mixed so confirm which your machine has.

@JPWH  @Tony Toys  , often refer to an opportunity  while in a related area . rarely just do one thing in a spot , regularly see members fail to pick up or take advantage of A  related  issue . really ?  if you are right there why not take advantage of it ?  why not make a problem go away ?  increase  grounding or wire routing and cable wrapping, since going after my issues , the problems are gone . same goes for  clunky / rusty linkage areas , why not make it  solid and smooth / easy ?  I  refer to it because , I've been there ,  just an idea , you can make it better if you want to , pete

If you haven't already, and really wanna have some food for thought- check how much $$ per mile you get these days...

Our Tundra now costs $0.34 per mile to drive now in city MPG. That adds up in a big hurry! For us, MPG is 14 city and 22 highway.
