What's with the weight on the deck?

There is a nother way third bar on the deck.  I got this ideal from Cleat, not sure but I think the factory vacuums had it.

We are swapping the tiller to the snow thrower. We got a couple inches Wednesday and figured it’s only a matter of time before the real snow comes.

Put the snow blower on the 520-H, so now I'm officially ready for winter.

Also added a new tractor to the fleet. Before we left on vacation, FedEx dropped off a package that was anonymously marked. Not sure who sent me this, but it's pretty cool!

Had my friend Michael over yesterday and we drove my Wheel Horses for 3 hours, trail-riding, drag racing in the driveway, racing in circles around the driveway, and just about any other type of driving you could think of. It was fun, and good for the tractors, the 520 hasn’t been run like that in years and the 607 hasn’t been run like that since I got it or since I rebuilt the transmission. So it was good for everyone, we even stayed out until it was dark and raced with the headlights on the 520 on. I was too busy racing to take any pictures though.:auto-layrubber::auto-checkeredflag:

The only reason the 520 was slower was because it had the plow on.;)

I thought I should have one of these.  Hmmmm @ $250, I thought wrong. Thats more than I paid for most of my :wh:

On second thought, I do want an electric Wheel Horse.

Menards has them for 129.99. I just ordered one. This site just keeps costing me money.😊

I use that site for product research and try to find a better deal elsewhere.

Get the actual item part number then search with that.

Sometimes I save. Sometimes not.

Went to give Dug a good start and warm up and fluff goes flying everywhere! Got a pick out of the drawer and fished all the stuff out, but now theres shredded paper,TP, fiberglass threads and dog hair everywhere!

Anyone ever come up with a way to prevent this?20211212_141824.jpg.a93c78533ca92ef4a1365ecd0a6fc7a6.jpg

So far so good.

Now that I have a decent feeling about the transmission being happy I'll run down through the list of to-do's on it.

Get the plow/weights/chains on during the process.

We've tried pretty much everything one can imagine to prevent mice/chipmunks/red squirrels from invading.

All of them are super fickle.

My parents have great luck with dryer sheets left in places. Their mice don't like em. Here the mice literally use a dryer sheet as bedding.

My parents use the "barrel of death" with a soda can across a plastic bucket. Works down there.

Here we can't use the cans. @#$+& mice won't touch it. They will however just run out on a plain board.

We fill the bucket with whatever fluid and cover the top of the fluid surface with sunflower seeds. Works well.

Some folks have good luck with using moth balls.

There's a million ways to get a rodent.

Yeah a trap would be what Id have to do to catch the buggers. Cant use poison around the cats and dogs. Youd think a mouse wouldnt dare, but i guess theyre small and crafty enough to evade the patrols!

Maybe ill stick some steel wool around the fan shroud and in the accessible holes to keep em from gettin in there. Just gotta remember to remove later!

The Paint Department played a bit of BBQ black on a muffler I got from a generous Redsquare member.
