Snoopy11 5,714 #13876 Posted December 4, 2021 After a month of waiting, I finally received my wheel spacers and put them on. Chains are in the shop, ready to rock... Before: After: You can really see the clearance between the wheels and the sub-frame. Exactly what I needed for chains... Don 6
8ntruck 7,004 #13877 Posted December 5, 2021 (edited) I got some quality time with both horses today. The C195 got put on lawn sweeper duty, and the 14-8 got tapped for plow duty. Why this division of labor? The plow does not fit the C195. The leaves were to wet to burn, so I piled them along the fence at the back of the property. I'll worry about what to do with them in the spring - they will end up burned, or being run through the shredder. This is the longest I've run the C195 since I got it. I'm getting more confidence in it. I am assuming that it is normal for an Eaton 1100 to have a slight whine as the tractor accelerates from a stop. It is quiet when everything is up to speed. The C195 is nowhere near as menurvible as the 14-8, though. Has a lot of understeer too. Tri ribs or front wheel weights might help that. Then again, maybe a new set of turf savers that don't have aged, rock hard tread might help. Using the plow to push the sweeper dump piles around worked out well enough that I think I'll fab up a leaf plow for next fall. I'll see if I can design it so I can use it on either tractor. The hydraulic lift on the C195 sure will make an implement like that easier to use than the lift lever on the 14-8. Totally normal. Not as much as a Sundstrand, but a little is OK.

Maxwell-8 4,275 #13880 Posted December 6, 2021 I just finished making my front weights. 70lbs, not the most but sufficient. No idea where they are from but I made a fast mount to be use by the attach a matic. It allows me to have 400lbs on the back and still be rideable. 6

INdeed, those old, most likely stock tires are not showing it. As on the photo the tractor is probably around the 1100lbs range.

Buy me a ticket to Belgium... make a rack for the front, and I'll sit on the front and add 250 lbs... Don

We use “decals” on our tractors, especially if they come from Terry/ @Vinylguy ! BTW… that black hood looks great ! They weigh about fifty lbs.. If you look in the middle of the weight , there are three holes so you can use bolts into the hub. But it would have to be a shallow wheel to do that. And the holes I have the bolts thru the weights are to wide to fit in the holes in the wheel where you put carriage bolts , you have use bolts thru the slots in the wheel
