peter lena 8,634 #13551 Posted November 15, 2021 @AMC RULES that honda set up looks awesome ! think its the way to go , for a repower , solid performance, did a total clear vinyl fuel rated hose change out today , on a 91 ,c12 . hose was getting hard , ran it thru a spiral wrap , wire protector , with hanger mounts , for a no chafing fit. have an ignition switch wire harness coming in , to cover erratic charging. found a split and somewhat fried connector . just staying after what ever , that honda looks like it was made or it , pete
peter lena 8,634 #13552 Posted November 15, 2021 @TonyToro bought a new c-85 in 82 , came with that 36" R/D deck ,8 hp kohler , still have them both , coming on 40 years , deck is still solid no rot and regularly maintained , put a 12 horse magnum in it a few years back , my other decks are 42" RD . could not tell you how many miles of grass that 36 cut , but R/D decks are my favorite , grass always looks good , pete

balconio 606 #13557 Posted November 16, 2021 Oh no you don't, old man winter. I remember being caught with my pants down in November 2019. Not this year. I got the wheel weights swapped, the set screws tightened and a brand new #40 chain on the blower. Bring it! 4

We tinkered with the new haul, the 520-8, GT1642 and 310-8. The 520 will surely need the carb rebuilt, but we heard it spitter at least, the GT1642 ran pretty smoky but cleaned up, and the 310-8 purrs. I don’t think he figured he’d get the chance to drive one. At first, he asked if I had any project quads I’d sell him. After 15 minutes on the 310, he decided he no longer needs a quad! Nice bus! I just bought one, mine is a lot older though. It's got air brakes/suspension and a DT466 with a 6 speed Eaton 4

ebinmaine 67,592 #13565 Posted November 17, 2021 Got all the other 6 weights descrubberized of the biggest rust and paint flakes. The Paint Department is working on spraying them. Bring one outside. Spray some red. Bring it inside. Repeat. I had started to soak the carb off the '75 C160 Automatic the other day. This evening I spent a few minutes finishing up the cleaning out process with brake clean. Also wire brushed the exterior of the carb body. 7

I have a dedicated "lawnmower" (Scag) for mowing. My Wheel Horses do the other work, and back up the zero turn as needed. No sense wearing them out with a mower. I want them to last at least as long as I do... 4
