So here's some more pictures of paths and also bonus mushrooms. We use certain areas or objects in the woods to describe where we're headed or what areas need attention/pruning etc. The first pic is what we call Split Rock. It's funny, you're way up there in Maine, I'm way down here in NY, but your forest looks pretty much the same as mine. Could be either place.

But she said it took years by her father's side to learn the good ones--she simply ignored anything she didn't know for sure was good. We saw her only once or twice a year so she never tried to teach us. My Dad was always skeptical, but we never got sick from anything she picked. I have an elementary school friend I'm still in touch with. He's one of those mushroom people, like your grandma. It's certainly takes a specific skill set to know which ones are good and which ones will kill you. Me, I like mushrooms. Like a lot. But not enough to give picking wild ones a whirl.

Gotta say, if somethin is so dead that stuff grows out of it like mushrooms, Daddy aint eatin it! I don't even like mushrooms of any kind! I did a fun little survival and evasion course for Uncle Sam when I was younger and dare I say dumber. We had to eat what we could find for seven days, and I ate stuff that still causes nausea all these years later. I have no problems foraging and cleaning whatever critter I was lucky enough to harvest. ...but shrooms? Nope, y'all can have them. 2

Neat that the controls are all directly attached. It is missing the tube from the blower shroud to the air cleaner box but it looks great!

Wheelhorse#1 1,657 #13115 Posted October 12, 2021 Freshened up the ole k301 and had a bit of a face lift with the rattle can. New rings ,piston,Rod and valves .Replaced the aftermarket carb the previous owner had on there. No matter what I did to it ,couldn’t get it dialed in. So I replaced it with next size up #30 carb and runs great now. 1

peter lena 8,625 #13119 Posted October 12, 2021 @Andy N. amazing on the deck blades , bought a deck a few years ago , was close to new , P/O was trying to use the wrong ( too long ) pto drive belt on it , was complaining about bad cutting . soon as i saw the belt skid marks on top of the deck , i knew what was up . still works like new. those bearings sound starved , you might try some lucas x tra heavy duty chassis grease in those spindles . the higher noise level ,whining is telling you about the grease problem . the grease recommended is a walmart for $ 5 , that's all i use in my spindles , with no pitched whining noise , very quiet and no failures . have other details if you are interested , pete

The label on my 89 10HP M is completely blank. Just a nice silver sticker.
