clueless 2,976 #1 Posted January 13, 2018 Found these yesterday on craigslist. Picked them up that afternoon. The guy had bought a used JD x240 from an older gentlemen and these came with it. He didn't need them. They couldn't find the other front weight, but I just need the backs. Never been used. Guest I'm gonna have to paint them. 15

WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #9 Posted January 14, 2018 The way they are cast/made you can "stack" them together 1-2-3..per wheel on those rears, Jeff.

These are probably going on the Simplicity, although I'm in the process of turning my 312-8 into my ground engagement tractor, they may end up on it. 5 hours ago, AMC RULES said: You need traction in the sand. Craig you need more than weights for traction in sugar beach sand .

Those stackable JD weights may be the wrong color (easily fixed) but they are awesome for rear ballast—especially for furrow plowing. The front weights also come in very handy for the notoriously light front ends that our ‘s possess. I’m definitely jealous of that find. Good luck “horse riding” in the dunes on the beach...
