bigplow1 23 #1 Posted January 10, 2018 Does anybody have an plow frame measurement from the rear mounting bar to the bolt hole in the front for a swept front axle I am thinking about making my own frame or stretching a short frame one to fit m y 520h Thanks
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,022 #2 Posted January 10, 2018 This will get you part of the way. This is what is added to the long frame plow frame if you have the swept-forward axle. Click on the picture. Garry Adding Unfortunately I don't see the bar to bar dimension
Tankman 3,518 #3 Posted January 10, 2018 (edited) Extended a frame some time ago, 4-1/2" longer. For my '90 520-8 with the forward swept axle. Cut and welded in a piece of angle, 4-1/2" long. Then welded another angle piece a foot long inside the existing frame. The angle 1/2" rod, extended 4-1/2". Welded piece of rod. Simple. Angle release pin wire, bent 1/8" rod (from Lowes). Works great. Still fits my other Horses. Edited January 10, 2018 by Tankman
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #4 Posted January 10, 2018 On the cheap 20 years ago I made this to go between the A frame and moldboard pivot point, used that way till this year when I finally got the factory extension kit, Jeff.

WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #6 Posted January 10, 2018 As best I could measure with it mounted on the tractor from END of extension frame to pivot bolt head approximately 69" OAL or from end of same to the bend 31" then from the outer edge of pivot bolt head (towards moldboard) to same bend in frame 38.5", hope this helps, Jeff.
