Lets see the snow rigs!

Like the title says let's see your WH snow rig! Very interested to see what everyone is using out there to tackle the job. Is anyone using a D series with a blower? Is the 520 a common tractor everyone uses to do the job? My two rigs are a 416H with 170 original hours on the blower and the D160 with a 54" push blade with hydraulic angle. My dad built the whole entire plow assembly.

Big Ugly - '74 D180 , 56" blade -

 

 

The blade was completely rebuilt and reinforced, 1055 hardened steel cutting edge.

Nice! I see that sears in the back is it an ss12? How does the blower compare to the horse? 

 

Mal Mac I'm jealous of those cabs and the loader! I bet those can move some snow and the cab can keep ya warm lol. We have a Ford 5610 with a loader but not very small or nimble

My present crew consists of the first  I bought, 1055 with 42" blade, GT-14 with a Johnson front end loader and the 418-C with 42" blade. Our snow fall tends to be six to ten inches of wet and heavy so a snow blower wouldn't work well here.

My 520H's ready for duty.  This was last year.  I put the two stage and cab on my 95 this year.  Also added a 522xi and two stage, but its not ready for action.

'95 520H with plow/blade ,Anniversary 520H cab and deuce, and the eMax with FEL and rear blade this year, last year had another '95 520H with single stage and a 520xi with single stage with the first 2, I keep telling myself that's why it hasn't snowed much around here lately it's scared of the lil red 's, Jeff.

These are some great looking tractors! I definitely need to find myself a cozy cab for my 416! With the short shoot blower you look like a snow man by the time your done. WVhillbilly how deep is that snow? Last I seen snow like that is when we got that 2ft here in SW Pa several years ago. Looks like the 520's are the most popular to use for snow duty!

Not Jeff, but my 95 520H, Cab, and two stage handled 28" plus drifts last year with ease.

Nice my 416 with the single stage handled the solid 24" we got a few years back it was slow going but we did get the drives cleaned out the onan is definitely a powerhouse and easily my most favorite engine take care of em and they'll last forever.

2'+ drifts of Jan '16, hard to beat the Onan power, Eaton 1100 infinite speed gearing and gear reduction steering and still be of classic  design, but for years I ran the tall chute single and it cut through the same amounts many times near flawlessly only thing was the clogging on DOT plow banks or slush, Jeff.

This picture was taken a while ago. I now have a Sweepster C-48 rotary broom on the C-141 and put the blade on my C-160 auto. Mid-mount grader blade on the GT-1800 for scraping ice.

C195 with the big 54" blade I split a beast and if I run out of room I can move the snow with the 520-8 with the Ark 550 loader. Both are fun

This is my primary snow mover!  It is Kelli’s “Rojo” and it is powered by the Diesel motor.  As mentioned a couple times above, these too are older pics but I’m still using the same machine...

The power steering and foot control hydro are absolutely awesome.  The only thing I really need to get my hands on someday is a heated cab!  Turn on my favorite music, adjust the heat, leave my phone in the shop, and enjoy an hour or better in the saddle!

But for now, get covered in snow dust and dry out by the pellet stove when done!

Just picked up a plow, a short chute thrower and some weights back in the beginning of December.  Thrower service and setup is still on the to do list, but the plow has been doing the job!

Tractor is my 94 416-H.  Inherited from my grandfather.. he bought it new.
