ClassicTractorProfessor 5,314 #854 Posted August 15, 2021 Not really what I would consider to be a classic, though it is 29 years old. Tasha and I drug home this little 1992 F150 4x4 this afternoon. Transmission is out and the interior needs to be put back together but after that it should make her a good truck to drive back and forth to work every day so I can finally get rid of that junk 2000 Silverado she’s been driving. And I suppose some could consider my old 94 F350 a vintage truck as well. For being 27 yrs old and just shy of 200k miles on her, she still never fails to put in a days work when I need her to. Tipped the scales at just under 16k a couple weeks ago when I brought home the 49 A
Achto 27,565 #855 Posted September 17, 2021 (edited) This combo caught my interest on my way home tonight. It intrigued me so much that I had to stop & take a picture of it. One sweet example of a mid 60's Chevy van and the painted to match Scamp camper is certainly icing on the cake. I believe there was also a 4 cylinder available IIRC but that might have been earlier. There was also a 230 c.i. option. I had a '66 for a while, back in the day. 3 speed on the column. It had fully functional twin 50 cals... The man selling said you can have them, but they are highly regulated and you have to jump through many hoops. Rick said too much trouble...

Maine's an open carry, lightly regulated state. It's possible that's a live one. 2

When I stepped down from the youth ministry at our church to join my dad full time in his missions work, our pastor and church decided to do something special for me for all the years of volunteer time spent with the teens. They purchased me a nice condition used semiauto 45 Thompson and it came with the “guitar case”, stick mag, and drum mag. Before they gave me the gun, one of the men of the church had me put on the fedora, then another guy walks up to the platform with a guitar case. As soon as I had it in my hands, I knew they weren’t giving me the biggest hint to take up stringed instrument lessons because of the sheer weight. It was a night that I’ll never forget. One of these days I need to make a shadow box and hang it up in my office (in between shooting it at the range of course). We have a bunch of sportsmen in our church and they all thought it was great! Next time we had a get together at the range, they all wanted their turn to sling some lead! Thompson’s are more than a cool gun, they are like a piece of Americana… 3 1 1
